There is mate they announced it a month or so back.

Ouch FPS looks pretty low in that video during presentation.

There was an instance of Schweinsteiger just gliding through Chiellini. It happens a lot in PES and that has to stop.

Keepers still need work (Marchisio's goal rebound off Neuer).

My main issue is though at 83rd minute: Giaccherini gets the ball, Marchisio must run into space at full speed but he stops for a second. Very annoying that  

FPS genuinely looks slower in Youtube video's i find because of how they need to be compressed, same with almost any video really.

Also i wouldn't be surprised if the FPS is a problem though, packing this new engine into a current gen system is going to lead to some drawbacks.

I won't comment on the gameplay faults until i play the demo although i do agree with you purely from watching the videos.

Release date: 20th September (UK)

A playable demo will be available the week before release, hitting PS3 on September 11 and Xbox 360 a day later. Konami says the demo will be representative of the final product, and will include a tutorial to teach players the overhauled control system.

No PC Demo.

E3 build looked like the best football game ever,Gamescom build looks like Pes 13.5

Konami has done it again.......Why ruin something that's not broken.

To be honest these videos don't look promising but I'll save the judgement for when I play the demo myself as people on these videos don't really try to play this game like football. It all depends on whether PES 2014 would reward you if you play it like football or play it like a gamer. For example if you see in the Gamescom shaky cam videos, midfield is pretty much neglected during build up play but that can be the games' 'fault'.

Have to say a few issues that are not dependant on how you play the game but are blatant in these videos:

• Konami making finishing super bad to compensate for too many goalscoring chances being created. It seems very easy to get one-on-one with the goal keeper or get a free header on crosses. Yet half of those easy chances the player fails to even hit the target. This ain't no simulation.
  

• Long balls are too accurate and the float is unrealistic, as with PES 2013 and 2012. It seems like as soon as the long ball is played, the receiving player stays completely stationary and the ball is played with seamless accuracy to him. Come on Konami, even FIFA have got to grips with this better than you!
  

• AI needs to be improved, both defensively and offensively. Defenders not positioning themselves to cut out easy passes or forwards not making obvious runs forwards to lose marker or open up space for others.
  

• Quite a few unrealistic passes here and there. You just should not be able to play an (accurate) pass in a 180 degrees when you got your back towards the receiving player. It looks very wrong.
  

• Oh, and *bleep* speed abuse

Few issues I noticed:
Ball doesn't seem to have any weight anymore.Like Pes 13.

Player has his back to the goal and spins and delivers a 20 yard perfect through pass,what the hell is this?!

Lobbed through balls look like Fifa 11.Awful.

RVP takes a free header from a corner when Dante and Neuer are less than 1 yard from him.You can't make this stuff up.

Pace abuse is still there.When I watched the E3 Videos when Mandzukic ran with the ball it didn't look like it was tied to his foot.In the newest gameplay video the dribbling looks like Fifa 13.
In General:
Only positive is Goalkeepers look better.Game speed is way faster and defenders just stand there in through balls like last year,Animations look awful too.

They should have just released the game in July.

Konami are so when it comes to PR like seriously.

The gameplay you are seeing is from the showfloor..... which EVERY single PES website rep is complaining about.

But they are showing off a new code behind the scenes which is newer and every single report has come back extremely positively and that's the code the demo will be.

Right, so the latest #PES2014 code (newer than show floor) is much better. Players are responsive, can feel the individuality more. Good.

@bigol83 very good. Slow and controlled is what I would call it. Felt very good.

For those who don't know these people they run PES sites are part of the community which are allowed to see the game early and test it, as such they have been allowed to see the newer code.

But seriously this is a big event why not show the new code on the show floor to the public ffs?

Looks like i'm going to have to wait for a demo to make a proper analysis.

Every year they say that after Gamescom "the code was old blah blah"

Konami say that..... these are random people who have played both codes and said how bad the floor code was and much better the behind the scenes code was....

Anyway as i said, the demo will explain all.

Maybe the photo is not from behind the scenes....Also that same guy Asim said Fifa 14 NG is better than Pes 14 showfloor....And I've seen fifa 14 ng gameplay and it isn't much different from 13.So Pes has to be basically the same like last year.

Adam Bhatti is PES Community manager so yes it is.

Tbf playing a game and watching a game are two totally different things, also of course Fifa next gen is better i'd expect it to be if it wasn't a better game with next gen consoles powering it then EA would have failed hard.

And no its not the same as PES 2013, you are basically calling every game tester and media outlet liars with that statement.

As i said the demo will tell all, but i think its quite telling that everyone whose played the game is praising it.

I guess there's not much point arguing but these random people are mainly people who are affiliated with Konami or own a PES fansite who also work closely with Konami. In the past few years they've always come up with stuff like that, coming up with previews that make you jizz in your pants only to play the actual game and realise they are either under placebo effect or simply bullshitting to keep the guy above happy (read: latter)

I don't really agree with vivabarca but while the guy on Twitter is using a different release, nothing guarantees that it is a better code (or even different code) than the one on Gamescom.

Again, I agree that playing it is different from watching it. I wish they released the demo sooner.

Tbf these same people got into an argument with Konami earlier in the summer because they wasn't happy with how the players moved.

Said the foot planting was non existent and the animations caused major issues with movement.

Apparently that has been fixed since then but still.... the point is made they are not lap dogs for Konami to help them sell the game if they don't like something they will say so.

I have been reading negative reports from them to Konami all summer so they could go back and fix it before release.... if they were bullshitting surely they wouldn't bother?

But anyway as all us have said at some point we can't really say if its improved or not until we play it.

Also a question.... would you rather a demo out now and play an unfinished product which makes you unhappy with the game or a demo close to the release which is basically the final product?

I'd honestly chose the latter every time.

I rather play two demos, as before. The first demo should be like a closed beta where only selected people who actually care about the game can participate in and try to fix the issues well before release. They did that with MLO a couple of years ago and the feedback helped Konami a great deal.

The only point of having a demo close to release is a public demonstration of the game and a 'try before buy' thing for customers. Because by then it will be way too late to make any significant changes to the game.

I hope you're right about the rest of your post (people giving Konami shit if they are doing shit).
