Signing another decent player in an area which you're already stacked in isn't really a good idea to me.

We need depth

And doesn't every club in the top 8 have 3 or 4 decent CBs they can rely on?

If we want to get there again we need this type of depth.

Also we apparently want Payet and Lille are open to offers apparently.

Douglas, Payet and a CF would be good.

Why on earth would a deal for a player who wants out be contingent on the other club selling their best player?


You wouldn't get many sales done, considering any club in a good position won't significantly weaken one department to strengthen another one.


Your scenario is a 100% win-win for Madrid, and that obviously favours nobody but Madrid. Hence why it won't happen.


Other clubs dont exist to help Madrid out you know.

the story from Sport about higuain is coming from a reliable madrid website called Elconfidencial, which has a story about how madrid want good money from the Higuain sale to reinvest it on another striker. now, they gave lewandowski as an example because we have shown interest, and dortmund are blocking his move to Bayern for now. but you can easily understand that the money from selling higuain will go onto buying another CF, namely Suarez or Cavani. Talking about Cavani, Cadena Ser also mentioned a cash+Higuain deal that we offered to Napoli for Cavani. see how stories converge?

OT: Inigo can work with Pique. The kid is a ball playing CB at heart yet Pique is one who needs to be marshalled and commanded as without that he is introspective and passive. There is an obvious age difference but Inigo specializes in instilling calm within the back-line in John Terry's mould followed by bursts of runs from the back into cross field passes and penetrative mid line passes to initiate a counter.

A rare breed who is a commanding CB and a ball playing one.
