Holland might have a better chance than Germany in the upcoming World Cup.

Seriously both goals were savable and the first was a blunder.

rwo power wrote:*sighs* I'm not really amused anymore. Come on boys, don't let yourselves get slaughtered by the Dutchies!!Puhleaze!! You don't drop a GK because of one bad performance. That's highly counter productive. You need to show a GK support so that he can build his confidence again. Every GK can have a bad day once in a while.Gil wrote:Leno lol. Should be dropped after this performance.

Well, the Dutch team fields 10 players that already had senior appearances with the A-team. The German team only has one (Holtby). In the upcoming World Cup you'll see the likes of Ilkay Gündogan, Mario Götze, Julian Draxler and some more of the kids that would have been eligible for the U21, but were omitted due to a couple of reasons ^^Gil wrote:Holland might have a better chance than Germany in the upcoming World Cup.

This Holland team is very close to their first team lol.
Germany how ever a lot of their best U21 players are not at this tournament and their u 18 players are not ready yet.
This means nothing for the future.

Surprised even Mole couldn't see it. Pretty obvious wasn't it?

I am delighted with your optimism, but sadly, we are a few years behind the Germans
Senior van Gaal was brought in to bring the 'dutch' school of football back to the first team after we reached the world cup final playing ant-football. It was poetic justice that we did not win that cup in that way. Ironically we were defeated by our very own principles instilled in the grassroots of Spanish football through the high father, Johan Cruijff.
Louis van Gaal is there to smoothen the transition and is currently the only dutch manager capable of handling the egos and the individualism of the old guard. Our young players are exciting and hopefully this will be the first stepping stone. What troubles me that we will be exposed as a rigid team, van Gaal's tactics are too system based and weplay more in blocks, rather than as one organism like our U-21 team.
I am hoping for a quarter final finish and I hope Louis van Gaal proves me wrong. This is the main reason both him and Senior Cruijff fell out over the direction Ajax should go. Johan is more about the individuals expressing themselves within the parameters of a given system, while van Gaal is about players working within the limits of a system, with very little creativity. The next 5 years will be very interesting both for Ajax and the Netherlands

Gil you fraud. He's found a perfect loophole. Whenever he pulls a Gil and writes something absolutely outrageous he quickly brushes it off as sarcasm. Well played Gil.

I hope Sebastian Polter will be subbed on, too. He's usually really dangerous in front of the goal, too.

Holtby makes it 2-2 with an impressive run and shot with his weaker foot.

It is a real pity that only two teams of Group B will go on to the semi final

What a match! Pity we lost, but at least the boys did fight. Good job by the Dutch team - they scored when they could, other than Germany -_-'

Re: UEFA U21 European Championships (Israel, June 5th - June 18th)
German GK couldve stopped all three goals scored.

On the other hand, the German strikers could have scored at least three goals moreAdit wrote:German GK couldve stopped all three goals scored.
You know, for the goals he got, Bernd Leno did stop a couple other very good attempts by the Dutch that could have been goals, too.

Would a lot of this young Dutch side actually start for the senior side? Like the defense, midfield and maybe a winger.
