What? Beckham has been a superb presence for Paris in his DLP role and has played almost every game since his purchase. I would count him out.

Re: Title winners who have done virtually nothing
No he hasn't. he's been poor and limited to brief appearances. How many of his nine league appearances has he started? How many goals? How many assists?
He's offered the club nothing other than revenue from merchandise sales.

It's not like much was expected of them tbh. (speaking about Hleb and Bendtner of course)

No he hasn't. He has been praised for being more than a Red-carpet figure for a reason as all his appearances have been one of class, experience and vision exuded by his excellent play.
Goals and assists? So we are going to judge a deep-lying playmaker by stats which are irrelevant to their performance now?

He's done nothing at PSG. People know he's only there to sell shirts, which is why he's only started one (?) league game and has been limited to brief second-half appearances.
Your insistence that he's been superb and played almost every game since arriving at PSG is being very generous with the facts.

A bit unfair
Song played 19 league games, 16 as a starter, 1 goal + 5 assists.
Beggining of the season he helped provide a bit of grit/steel when we basically didnt have defenders (I know he was horribly exposed at times but he was pretty solid at DM).
Song fully deserves his liga medal,, for those who regularly watched barca games.

Five assists? Every website I've looked at lists his assist count as 0

Tito - Barcelona
not just trolling..but i think 95% of managers worldwide could have achieved what Barcelona achieved this year with their squad.
Bayern and Real lost games are were a true top manager would have showed his class

Re: Title winners who have done virtually nothing
Becks has done little, but some, for PSG. He was used to help Verratti when Motta was injured basically, which is a good contribution since Verratti needs the help.
Didn't show anything exceptional. Didn't make a fool out of himself either.

He played in CL and cup too. That's not the total. Started one of the Barca CL games and came in as a sub in the other.
He did contribute importantly in the few games he had.

I think Barca official website got it wrong. He has 0 according to Opta sports as well.

You obviously don't understand the title of the thread.
This is about players who've done nothing and won a league title Beckham is one of those players.

Re: Title winners who have done virtually nothing
Sorry, but i disagree. It's an important job to be the backup CM to a kid like Verratti. Becks came into most every game in league for Verratti when Motta has been injured (often). The total minutes may not amount to much. But he is there at the end of close games very often... he hasn't looked bad at all.
He's obviously not a key man for the team. But he was a good role player. And his entire wage went to charity.
He also took a lot of the attention away from Ibra who doesn't handle media well.
A win-win situation really.

Re: Title winners who have done virtually nothing
He's done nothing but pass sideways and get sent off. He's offered nothing of value to the team.
We knew this before he even played a minute as he is there only to sell merchandise for PSG.

Horrible example. Song contributed.
Jonathon Dos Santos winning his first league title this year is a perfect example. Guy played like a total of 25 mins all year and he has a medal. Useless

Fair enough. However thats not the main point. Busquets hardly has any assists as well.
I personally didnt expect Song to play this many games. Comparing him to becks and bendnter is just ridiculous.
Does that mean, the likes of tello thiago, batra "virtually did nothing too".

16 league starts.
Thats like half a season. Also consider the other cups where he allowed rest for busquets/xavi, etc.
Tbh, there is a hint of butthurt in your posts. Song finally won a trophy, get over it

In England, do you have to feature in 10 league games to get a medal?
