Re: Title winners who have done virtually nothing
In England, do you have to feature in 10 league games to get a medal?

So Song basically made up the numbers. And that's contributing is it?

Song played as a DM so his assist/goal stats shouldn't be looked at. I think he's done enough this season to not be called a player 'who has done nothing'.

Yes, in those 16 league starts, he basically did fuk'all, didnt recover balls, never helped defend set pieces, never made any important passes.

Instead of arguing and whining about an opinion (a common Barcelona fan trait, it must be said) how about you add to the proposed topic?

Song has been very good at DM , for a debutant. We all saw vs Bayern how our tiny players were bullied around by the Germans. I believe he still has a lot to offer for us.

The most importnat thing is that the Barca board and Song himself feel he has contributed something this season, not Lex

Re: Title winners who have done virtually nothing
Tito Vilanova really.
I mean its another thing that he had cancer and you cant really expect him to deliver in the circumstances, but seriously he has failed in every big game whenever he's been incharge.
Barca won the league on the back of their Jaw dropping start to the season, but that was all down to Messi magic really.
It again provides evidence to the claim that theoretically any1 can coach this well oiled Barca team.

BS!
Barca were the comeback kings beginning of the season IIRC. Tito's subs always paid off (or made Messi more lethal,at least) and thats why we had a record start to the league. I know Messi is that good and people often feel he doesnt need a manager, but thats just false.
Anyway why are we talking as if this was Tito's 1st season at Barca? Along with Guardiola , he helped create that well oiled machine.

Yes, IIRC Roura was the man in charge when Barca got their biggest result of the season (Barca 4-0 Milan). That alone vindicates my point that ANYONE can manage this team.
Also, comeback kings or not, Messi was on a hot streak and thats what mostly propelled them in the League, not some substitutes.
Vilanova has failed to win in MOST* of his big games as Coach. Granted they were unlucky with the Messi Injury in the Semi, but still Tito didnt help the cause at all by failing to make any changes till the 83rd min. I'm not saying he go out make huge changes, but given that it was 2 legged tie, maybe making some defensive changes at 2-0 down would have salvaged the tie.

Vilanova failed to win big games so that discounts his contribution to the league win? I am sorry, i just don't agree with this logic.
