National cups, outside maybe England are not very important. Is there time in calnder for National Cup winners from 8 top leagues in UEFA to have playoff for entry in CL? Neutral ground only one game immediate knock out once losing.

Good idea, it would also make for great cup matches all over Europe.

Then a team who is reasonably competitive would get in instead of the winners of a terrible league who become group stage whipping boys. (No offence)

Would they be placed in pot 4 automatically or would it depend on the individual team?
