Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
Its something along the lines.
any way the point is ,if it was any other club mou wouldnt have said that.
Imagine mou saying this after game against Barca ...He wants the MANU job and was sucking SAF's d*** with that comment.

Moyes and attractive, attacking football.

Will be interesting to see how United cope without him.

Cool your jets peeps, if the press association is right it won't be Mou.
They have already pretty much ruled out the notion of it happening.

""I doubt that 11 v 11 we win the match."
"Independent of the decision, the best team lost. We didn't play well, we didn't deserve to win but football is like this," the Portuguese told ITV1 in a brief interview.
This is what Mou said after the game at OT.

I doubt Mou as manager and SAF as DOF would work, too much ego.

Moyes is overrated imo. He's barely progressed with Everton. Just because he's been there for a long time, doesn't make him a top manager.
Longevity doesn't = top manager.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
Looking at what Mole posted, they want a manager who is good with youth and plays attractive football. Well, Klopp fits the bill imo even though he still has a contract with Dortmund
It'll be interesting to see who they get

Not really, not by anyone standards is Moyes style attractive.
Just the media blabbing on with their nonsense as usual.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
I doubt United would want to buy Mourinho out of his contract tho. so yh it all probably points towards Moyes
The Madrid board have a meeting today to discuss Mourinhos future and most of them seem to have had enough of him. Maybe we will terminate his contract after all

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
United want a manager who understands United's special tradition and place in the game. A manager who has a track record in developing young players. And a manager who has a commitment to playing attractive, attacking football.
To me that would rule out Moyes and Mourinho, for different reasons.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
Wenger would be a good option. He knows the EPL, plays good football, European experience and isn't getting anywhere at Arsenal.
Besides, I think this should be the year Wenger leaves/get sacked by Arsenal anyway.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
I think its most likely to be Moyes. The media just glorifying s**t up as usual by spouting stuff like "attractive" football and European experience and what not. Actually he fits in perfectly with the tactics Man Utd implement.
Everton fans want Moyes out and Man Utd want Moyes as their manager. Never thought I'd see this day.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
I would just like to say OMG! Never thought aftger all this he would decide so suddenly. And now that its confirmed, I actually miss him already! Having hated him for so long! Funny isnt it.... He will be surely misses, a legend, and a towering figure in the game....
Been reading the reports on him, love the quotes, like Inzaghi was born offside
Fergie, bye! Although im sure he will continue to control things from behind the scenes. But surely it will have a big effect on the team, and I hope Man U will not be as successful
And its too bad cant see him vs Mou again....

Agreed aside from European experience and attractive football parts he ticks all the other boxes.
I just fail to see if they stick to that criteria how Moyes can be an option.
Probably just media spouting crap as per usual.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
Sir alex was such a control freak that i have a difficult time imagining that he will completely go out of the picture for United. Throwing Moyes straight in fergie shoes would ruin the club, way too massive of a club for him to handle alone so i wouldnt be shocked to see Fergie still around Man utd next year easing through the transition and still handling a lot of things. Moyes is a lot more malleable than a freak like mourinho, think that factor in a lot in the decision. think he will still be groomed in some capacity by fergie

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
lol you couldnt make this stuff up but apparently when watching a tribute video of SAF on cnn.com, the commercial played before the video features a cleanly shaven howard webb holding up the extra time/substitution board.

Nick, Fergie is going to be director and ambassador for the club so that is happening.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
From Milan's official website:
ALEX FERGUSON: MILAN REMEMBER THE GREAT BATTLES WITH THE MANCHESTER UNITED COACH
MILAN - Sir Alex Ferguson has announced that at the end of the season he will leave Manchester United, the club he has coached for 26 years, winning 38 trophies. Milan had various encounters with the Scotsman in the Champions League, followed with the usual fine wine after the match with Carlo Ancelotti. Adriano Galliani said that he admired Sir Alex Ferguson, who always had something intelligent to say. He would say that victory and defeat are twinned so one has to go with the other and be treated in the same way: without excessive enthusiasm for the former or with too much disappointment the latter.
