I am not even that excited, Watch him become the FA Chairman
I wanted us to win the league with him in the chair and Persie at OT. Feck. Now I am sad.
On another note, how do I reach Arq's place?

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
Sir Alex Ferguson’s decision to leave Manchester United is, understandably, making the headlines in Italy.
The manager has this morning confirmed that he will bring his 26-year reign at the club to an end this summer.
“The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly,” he said in a statement. “It is the right time.
“It was important to me to leave an organisation in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so.”
Ferguson, 71, who has led United to the Premiership title on 13 occasions, will now become a club ambassador and director.
The Gazzetta dello Sport website wrote: “Ferguson-United, the end of a reign. Now it is official, he will leave at the end of the season.”
The Corriere dello Sport headlined: “United, Ferguson retires!”
While Tuttosport led with “Sir FinalAlex”.
United have yet to name a successor, but former Inter boss Jose Mourinho, currently at Real Madrid, and Juventus’ Antonio Conte are already being linked.

Holy shit, this is the biggest possible news in football
I can't even believe it, 26 years of managing!!!!!!!
EPL will be more interesting from here on though, on the bright side. Fergie seriously *bleep* up the PL more than any manager ever has

Am I the only non-United fan thats going to miss him? Kind of like how the PL became WAY less entertaining when Mou left.
One things for certain though the PL is WIDE open next year. Gonna be epic.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
I'm actually rather sad. I wished he would be around when we knocked MU off their f*****g perch. You see without guys like Alex or Roy the rivalry doesn't have much meaning. They had the character to challenge our dominance. They had the endurance to go all the way. They had the wit to take us on. All these makes them so hated and at the same time respected. It meant some thing even to score goal against them. Now (to me) they are just one of the 19 others.

Never liked him as a person and always regarded him as a douchebag tbh. Happy to see him go. No doubt he was a great manager but personality wise he's just a dick.

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
David Moyes is set to be appointed the new manager of Manchester United by the end of the week, Goal.com understands.
The Everton boss is expected to be announced, possibly even within the next 24 hours, as the successor to Sir Alex Ferguson, who revealed on Wednesday morning that he is stepping down at the end of the season.
Sources have told Goal.com that the United players have learned today that Moyes is the man who has been lined up to take over from Sir Alex.

Some respect please. Do you sometimes consider that maybe most fans of Man United are treating Liverpool and its legends with respect?

Re: Sir Alex Ferguson retires as the Manchester United manager
Nothing is gonna change really, things will continue to proceed as they are especially given the fact SAF will be still working as the Director of Football. The only thing that's gonna change is the control that SAF has over the media which will alleviate down. Within just a few years, Moyes (likely to be appointed) will be SAF v2. He clearly is nothing but an ordinary manager but will be overrated to unbelievable limits.Gil wrote:Am I the only non-United fan thats going to miss him? So you suggest that Sir Alex is overrated. Am I right?

Never liked AF because he always seemed to get his way with the authorities. When he complains about something, the media listen to him. Anyone else and they would be ridiculed. Superb coach, great career, won't be missed by me though.

Vladdy I think it's less that people are trolling and more that they just really don't like SAF.

I don't like Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Spanish sportsmen and Spain's NT, Germany NT etc. but I don't say such things like:"THE RED NOSED B*STARD IS GONE!" "Mourinho to Yanited! Ugly coach for an ugly team and an uglier club
Match made in heaven me thinks"
This is HATRED.
I know how to control myself and show respect. Because at some time I knew how it is to be respected so I thought it would be nice from me to pay people with the same coin.
I can now say: "Hahaha, X Club has a shit manager and he fits perfectly with the mentality of the club and its history ".
And for me, it is too much to see so many people making fun of the situation at Manchester United.
