Negredo and Marq were not pushing for moves away from their club, and neither of them were bench warmers.

So yes, his price is going to be relatively low compared to players who are key players for their team and happy to stay.

Higgy is worth more than €30 mill so other clubs should be happy if that's what Madrid is asking for

Even if you think he isn't 'worth' 30 mill, everyone these days is going for more than they are worth so why shouldn't Higuain?

It doesn't matter what other clubs pay for other players. Each situation is different

All we have to go on is the fact that RM scared every single club up until this point away from Higuain with their price.

So Higuain isn't as good as a lot of RM fans seem to think and/or he's being vastly overpriced

Any club who's went in for him stopped before the 30M mark. And RM want closer to 40M

So obviously RM are pricing him out of every single clubs range so far.

Just because a club slap a stupid price tag on a player it doesn't mean that they should get that price.

Still think he'll end up at Arsenal, I certainly hope so.

I'm happy with who we've got upfront. Overhauled our attack for 10M euros and with relatively no fuss.

So i'd like to see him at Arsenal too.

I would also like him to end up at Arsenal, but I also want Arsenal to have to pay for it. Wenger needs to understand it is sometimes necessary/worth it to pay a 'high' price for a player of such class.

Sorry but a player surrounded by talent who has flopped in the CL 6 times despite having 30 starts and 18 apps from the bench, a combined 48 apps for about 4 goals is just not worth that sort of money.

And like i've said before prices go beyond what a player is worth, but i'm talking about including every other detail. And he's still not going to go for that money.

Terms with Higgy were agreed at around £20-£23 million to begin with. Then Real Douchedrid went and upped the price, and it's been rising ever since

We've bid 3 times mate. They just kept increasing the price and now it's £35m. Can't see it happening. He should go to Napoli.

Now they want just short of £40M

Hence clubs just flat out refusing to go after him.

Bearing in mind he's unhappy and surplus to requirements at RM.

To be completely fair I'm more interested in him getting playing time before the World Cup. Both Napoli and Arsenal are big teams so as long as he leaves Madrid, it will be win-win for him and Argentina.

Napoli certainly need a striker after the sale of Cavani and Higauín would do very well in filling the void. At Arsenal, he is well suited to how Gunners play and has the qualities that Arsenal need. A top striker whom, on form, does not miss, assists the team in other areas and generally is a likeable guy with no ego issues. Sure he'd finally send Giroud where he belongs: on the *bleep* bench.

Don't know about Higuain assisting in other areas, but he'd certainly finish the goals that are put on a plate for him

I think when Giroud is playing - or Walcott doing his usual CF runs, he'll be able to cover the right hand side effectively. He's not good 1 v 1 ; but he can assist in the final third and very often he knows exactly when to.

Yeah, higuain is an underrated passer for sure imo. He is better with the ball then some think

Won't be surprised if he stays, honestly.

He was willing to move when Mourinho was there, and when there was no manager.

Since Carlo's been there, the price has gone up and up and up because he wouldn't mind him being at the club. But he wouldn't mind getting rid for stupid money.

If there was any time to get Higgy, it was before they got their manager. So yeah, can't see him leaving now unless someone offers stupid money for him.

Hah now its Madrid fault that Arsenal,Juventus all refused to pay 30 mill earlier and now that if we sell Higuain,all the targets like Cavani,Jovetic etv have moved clubs,who are we going to sign? seriously Madrid has every right to up their asking value given that we can not replace him at all now..

All the blame should be on Wenger and those stingy clubs who refused to pay 30 mill earlier and now crying about Madrid upping their asking value.
