Yeah, I'm a Bayern fan, but admittedly had no idea that's how stars on jerseys worked.

Well, the Bundesliga in particular has a very unique way of awarding the stars:

3+ championships: 1 star
5+ championships: 2 stars
10+ championships: 3 stars
20+ championships: 4 stars
