No suspensions from Super cup????

I read in this forum that the Spanish liga decided in recent past not to have suspensions carried from one competition to another. I can't find anything offical about this, so I'm wondering if it is true. I fully expected Marcelo to get a lengthly suspension while Ozil, Villa and Mou possibly one game.

However, there seems to be no discussion planned or ongoing about their suspensions. The only news I heard is Barcelona are not protesting anything against Mou for the Villanova confrontations.

I can see this new rule (if it is true) applying to suspensions between Copa and Liga competitions, but for a one a year competitions like supercup, it doesn't make sense.

Does anyone know if this new rule is true and the full text of what it entails? What do they do with the UEFA supercup? and what do they do with the world club championship?

Well I personally think that the red card wont be carried till the next super copa if anyone of both teams qualified, it would be ridiculous if it happens.

Suspension rules were amended a month ago. Red cards in Super copa/ CDR don't carry over as suspensions into other competitions.

Marcelo, Ozil etc won't be suspended when the league starts.

Just out of interest, is that the same with UEFA super cup and world club championship. What about finals in WC or Euro? Does same apply or do they carry over to other UEFA or FIFA games?

As far as I understand the suspensions only fall under the RFEF competitions.

Could be wrong though so don't quote me on it.
