Fairthorne isn't so reliable - basically just a glorified Internet Bullshit Artist faker. If I recall, he was the one who insisted on numerous times that M'Vila was a done deal, etc., and said that if it didn't go through he'd delete his Twitter account, etc. Usual attention whore antics.

I mean, nothing the guy is saying is substantively different or more informative than what other papers & sources like Metro are saying, so if those reports have any veracity then he might be riding the wave too.

So basically, the price for Bon Jovi (what Arsenal are willing to spend, what Fiorentina are willing to take) is possibly as low as €20 million or as high as £30 million. Wenger is willing to break the bank, or he's "dithering" on spending quite so much. (And this "dithering" is bad if you like Jovetic and don't want to get Mata'd again, but maybe useful if you think he's overrated and you want Higuain or Lew or someone else.)

The pounds/euros thing when dealing with transfers between England and the rest of Europe is so frustrating because we get journalists and fans tossing around all sorts of numbers, sometimes carelessly, and then basing opinions on these figures. Often very prematurely.
