Schürrle to Chelsea, de Bruyne to ??
raphael honigstein @honigstein 1h
Schürrle update, via @Tim_Roehn : Leverkusen official expected in London on Friday to conclude deal. Chelsea and AS have agreed 5y deal
Schürrle update. Chelsea have now submitted a second, improved offer (€22m + bonus) in case De Bruyne opts out. Ball in Leverkusen's court.
So it's definitely going to be a €22m signing instead of a player/cash deal because there's no way in hell KDB will choose Neverkusen over Dortmund.
Sigh another overhyped German scrub in favour of legit talent. When will we finally learn?
On a sidenote BVB are going to be IMMENSE next year
New striker
Gotze KDB Reus
Gundogan Bender

Problem with de Bruyne deal is that #CFC only want to let him leave on loan. Leverkusen want a permanent deal.

LOL Dortmund aren't signing Kevin, apparently has a 17m release clause noway they're paying that much for him as good as he is.
On the other hand Chelsea will have "German Ronaldo" and "German Messi" in one team

Dortmund already proved they are willing to put 17 mio Euros on the table for a legit talent.

Lewandowski is a fit for Dortmund unless he leaves they won't buy a striker.

They payed a similar amount for Reus. It's definitely happening lol.
As overrated as Schurrle is one thing I do like about him is his work ethic and the fact that unlike Oscar, Hazard & Mata he plays very well off the ball rather than looking for the pass played to his feet all the time.
Maybe, just maybe it'll work.

I know but it's a luxury signing Dortmund simply don't need to do and to pay 17million euros for a luxury signing isn't really Dortmund-esque.
There are other areas where Dortmund need to sign players and an attacking midfielder isn't one in my opinion.

BVB paid 17,5m for Reus. Although they received a lot of money for CL, I doubt that they decided on purchase KDB.
Schurrle in Chelsea? Increasingly likely.

KDB >>>>>>>>>>> Kuba
Besides what areas do they need strengthening in lol?
That front six is legit on the basis they sell Lewa and sign a WC replacement. Hummels/Santana/Subotic are all great. Pizza Check is a top 5 RB.

They do need to tbh, as you say Lewa is a fit for them but they need another striker.
When you look at Barca's options aside from Messi for CF, Madrid's aside from Benzema or Bayern's instead of Mandzukic.
If BVB want to compete they need to have competitive depth....
Unless the plan is to use Reus as a CF and buy De Bruyne for an extra AM so they can use Gotze, De Bruyne and Kuba behind him or even maybe Gotze as a false 9.
In any case they need some depth in key areas, first team aside from Schmelzer is as good as anything.

Unnecessary transfer for Chelsea unless he's going to play CF. In which case they'll have to sell Torres and tell Ba he's going to be a rotation player I guess.
If not, they already have Hazard, Oscar and Mata for the '3' positions in a 4-2-3-1. Plus there's also Moses and Marin. Piazon, Thorgan Hazard and Lukaku out on loan too.

Schuerrle isn't overrated Gil.
He is a limited player in some aspects yet explosive when he is at full stride. Possess an excellent shot, crosses well, has a good final ball and generally is consistent. I don't see why you should be unhappy about this move.
And no KDB is nowhere near Kuba. Not even close considering how good Kuba is for Dortmund and Poland.

Not first team necessarily but they need to sign a CF (if Lewandowski finally decides at which team he'll go), a CF backup as Schieber is simply not good enough, midfielders are absolutely not needed unless Kehl goes - Rode comes in, Götze, Reus, Kuba, Leitner, Großkreutz and Bittencourt = just enough for 3 positions and LB backup absolutely needed. Other positions as GK, RB, CB are fine.
Even if Dortmund sign a midfielder it's more likely that they're signing BMG's Patrick Herrmann than Kevin de Bruyne. Though would love it if it happened:
Kuba de Bruyne Reus
Götze

your management are still clueless, you have shat CFs, a hole on defense, a one legged midfield, and the first move you make is to sign a player you hardly need. congrats

Disagree on CB Urban..... Santana is average and Dortmund miss Hummels FAR too much when he's unavailable.
They definitely need some capable cover for Hummels who can you actually build from the back and not just do a Mike Williamson impression.

Agreed, I kinda like Santana but he's average plus he's likely to leave in 2014 or this summer if someone wants to sign him. A replacement for him will be needed with Sarr (top CB talent) as 4th choice.

True, though my point is that Dortmund simply don't need an attacking midfielder RIGHT NOW and if they do need one in the future they'll be looking at Herrmann or Goretzka.
By the way "Welt Sport" journalist Tim Röhn spoke to de Bruyne's agent:

Do Dortmund need an AM with Gotze already there?
With Lewandowski leaving they'll need a forward and maybe a better RW than Blaszczykowski .

I doubt they'll need a better RW than Blaszczykowski considering he is easily a world class winger/RAM and performing over the likes of Di Maria. What they need is a good back-up CB, a LB and not that excuse of a man they have on the left flank and a DM replacement for Kehl since he is getting slow.

No one said he's a WC player though, WC winger was the term.
