As overrated as Schurrle is one thing I do like about him is his work ethic and the fact that unlike Oscar, Hazard & Mata he plays very well off the ball rather than looking for the pass played to his feet all the time.

TBH if they paid twice that for Torres, they can pay 22m for Schürrle. He's a bit overrated (in England only though, for some reason^^), but 22m isn't really overspending in the current market. Forwards are expensive, and he's young, versatile, pacey, tall, doesn't get nervous, and has a decent work rate. IMHO he's a perfect fit for the EPL.

Would also bet that Lewandowski isn't leaving yet.

Chelsea won't sell KDB, just like they won't sell Courtois.

If anyone thinks Dortmund have a chance of buying him, you are wrong. He'll either be loaned out or remain at Chelsea.

I can understand Schurrle to Chelsea though, gives us amazing depth in AM/wing.

And Dortmund isn't spending 17m unless Lewandowski is leaving. Which he won't. Yet.

Schürrle is a poor man's Robben. Less selfish and less awesome.

Latest twist: According to the very reliable Tim Röhn, Schürrle to Chelsea far from a done deal, clubs can't agree about de Bruyne. Chelsea only want him on loan while Leverkusen want him permanently.

In the meantime according to Belgian media: Dortmund have offered de Bruyne a 5 year contract and are willing to pay 15 million euros for him. Chelsea only want a loan deal for de Bruyne but are tempted by the 15 million euros.

Very interested to see where de Bruyne will play next season. Schürrle aswell.

Interesting, I think KDB can fill the gap of Gotze. Problem is who'll Dortmund get if Robert leaves this summer?

Well, they get 37 mio for Götze. Let them pay 15 mio for KDB, then they'd have 22 mio left to pick some promising striking prospect (and mind you, Lewandowski wasn't a star when Dortmund got him for 4.7 mio Euros either).

I don't really watch bundesliga so I only really get the good bits of KDB on chelsea blogs, how well could he fill Gotze's position at Dortmund? Obviously Gotze is the better player and KDB is a downgrade but he's still a fantastic young player, who seems to be getting better and better.

Well, KDB would't be instantly perfect, but leave it to Jürgen Klopp to improve him so that he can become a great asset to the team, too.

Look de Bruyne is no Götze, but still a very good player and can only get better surrounded by better players than he does with Werder.

And I personally think he would perfectly fit in Dortmund's system, always works hard and has good technique.

Chelsea won't sell him otherwise we'd have signed Schurrle by now.

Dortmund will have to add €10m to that offer for me to consider it.

Its more of a high risks-high reward with young prospects, but i guess it worked out for Dortmund. If they want to continue becoming a power in Europe for the next 2 years they need someone good that is able to lead the frontline

According to local media: Leverkusen have signed Robbie Kruse from Fortuna Düsseldorf, who is a wide player but can play centrally same as Schürrle. Wonder if he's a direct replacement for him or a depth signing. Doubt they'll want de Bruyne after signing Kruse which means Chelsea will have to pay more than 25mio for Schürrle without de Bruyne.

Schurrle agreed a 5 year contract with Chelsea, however the deal could be scuppered because Leverkusen want de Bruyne as part of the deal.
