André Schürrle
Vibe's man
He's got an awesome scoring record for German NT ( 7th goal in 14 appearances, most of them as subs in 70th minute)
Looks like Germany found the missing link where Bayern lack, an AM ( Özil) and right-footed version of Robben who cuts inside and actually scores
His newest:

Re: André Schürrle
I'm looking forward to him at the Euros, nobody will know what to do with him, and it'll probably the semis until people know that they should double him even 35 yards out

Yes, one of those hidden Buli gems. He's not like those flashy Özil, Götze or Kroos types, he's more Müller but faster and more technique.Blue wrote:He is also a player we have been linked to in recent months.

Re: André Schürrle
Wide player who cuts in. Has good enough finishing to be a ST, but his speed is too good to be wasted down the middle.Blue wrote:Sushi Master wrote:Yes, one of those hidden Buli gems. I'll give you an easy comparison: a German Sturridge.

With the internet, it would be criminal if managers don't already know about Schurrle.

Re: André Schürrle
He is a good player but cutting in from the left would get predictable. lahm is naturally right footed too,so they will both be doing the same thing creating a lack of width.
I wonder how Robben-VDW will do against Lahm-Schurle. Or Nani against Lahm.
I would have preferred Lahm on the right as although Lahm is good on both sides,he is a much better defender on the right & he is less predictable going forward.

Re: André Schürrle
if most his apperances for the NT are off the bench why does he have the no.9 shirt?

Re: André Schürrle
Um, why not? Some others who are prolly benched have low numbers, too. Ilkay Gündogan is Nr.2, Marcel Schmelzer Nr.3, while certain starter Holger Badstuber is Nr.14 or Philipp Lahm Nr.16...

He is an attacker. He is able to play across all front 4.Blue wrote:Sushi Master wrote:Yes, one of those hidden Buli gems. He's not like those flashy Özil, Götze or Kroos types, he's more Müller but faster and more technique.Blue wrote:He is also a player we have been linked to in recent months.

I think they could do little about him if he is unleashed against tired defenders. He is explosive which makes him ideal super sub #1VivaStPauli wrote:I'm looking forward to him at the Euros, nobody will know what to do with him, and it'll probably the semis until people know that they should double him even 35 yards out

Re: André Schürrle
I expect Reus to be the first sub in many games, though. But that's not necessarily a bad thing either.

Re: André Schürrle
