My understanding is that the events organizers are the same for both Peru and LA. Put yourself in his shoes, you are doing a huge favor to this cause by lending your time and name to it and the organizers allow your family and friends to get escorted out of the match by the police as if they were criminals. Messi was naturally pissed and he subbed himself out of the game as soon as he found out. In his facebook he claimed that he was disappointed with the general treatment that his family received from the organizers, pointing towards more that we are not seeing. While cancelling the following game seems like an overreaction, there must have been some sort of exchange of words to get it there. I'm sure we don't know all the details.

Before the match Messi had said: "I don't have anything to do with the local promoters.

"At the end of the day I'm here to benefit the (Messi) Foundation and benefit Unicef."

The whole article is about some father and son who apparently cried because they couldn't meet their idol due to falling for a scam, hardly Leo's fault.

I truly hope Messi stops touring around the U.S, the media there blows everything out of proportion.

Stop the stupidity already, you don't know anything that happened there for sure. But Messi promising meet and then not keeping it sounds as probable as pigs flying.

Much probable is the American organization promising that without Messi knowing, and then blame Messi over it like in LA.
