I never gave a shit about the Messi-CR fanboy battles, but this season I'm totally on Messi's side. There simply is a abyss between Messi and the best player in the world. I just can't take people rating CR as some kind of godish footballer when Messi trashes him in almost every football aspect bar goalscoring.

I wouldn't say Lucho improved his fitness. It's mostly Messi himself not getting injured. Let's not forget that between 2012-13 and 13-14 he was constantly being played half-fit to come "save the team" which definitely took a toll on his performance. Messi has since then re-hired Juanju Brau as his personal fitness coach and regained his fitness in the early part of 2014 for the WC. And now he's bringing that to Barca.

@grealleader. If goals are goals, then why do they not give it as an assist to the player who won the penalty? And if the penalty is won by d same player who takes it, then why is an assist not recorded for the player who passed the ball? Why is an assist not given to who won a direct fk goal too? So until then penalties shouldnt count except if won by the player and until they start given other players their due assist count. Moreso, penalties should be rotated btw all forwards in a team so as to even out opportunities and reduce goal inflation. Imagine the likes of cr7/hazard/aguero with something like 9-13 penalties each during the half way mark this season for instance, now, take a look at players like suarez, benzema who never take at all, at least in the case of fk's we can say that its harder, requires more skill, has a very low odd and is an ingenuity, so, we can understand if only one player takes those as some are clearly better than the others. unlike penalties.
This is my opinion.
