Do anyone still disagree that football has become too incompetitive
The top leagues have never been this incompetitive before, has it?
La Liga: 10 (possibly 13) point lead over 2d placed team. (24 (possibly 27) points different between 1st and 4th place)
EPL: Man U 15 point lead over 2nd placed team. (22 points different between 1st and 4th place)
BL: Bayern 20 point lead over 2nd placed team. (30 points different between 1st and 4th place)
Serie A: Juve 12 point lead over 2nd placed team. (17 points different between 1st and 4th place)

In some ways it has. That's why i think that instead of FFP they should have made a salary limit (although this would hurt Barca the most as our players salary is the highest if I am not mistaken). This way teams will be more balanced and we wont see crazy transfers and salaries.

The four big leagues have been boring in terms of title race, but after that it's tight in all parts of the league tables (or correct me if I'm wrong, haven't checked but the Premier League table lately).
But sure enough title race is the biggest part of any league, so we can only hope this season will have been a one-off and we will see more exciting battles for domestic trophies again next season.

Re: Do anyone still disagree that football has become too incompetitive
Barca have been lucky we suffered their away syndrome or else it wouldn't have been this uncompetitive milan could have helped us cut the gap tho oh well
when city get a new coach united will get a heavier challenge. dortmund haven't been good this season in the league while unless milan get some new players serie a will never be competitive again
so no standards hasn't dropped just an unlucky season for many teams

United has won 5 of the last 7 titles
Barca has won 4 of the last 5 titles
No team outside the big 3 In Italy has won the title since 2002.
Thats football for you.

Re: Do anyone still disagree that football has become too incompetitive
madrid won the league last year
dortmund won the league last year
city won the league last year
dortmund needs time in order to balance things in europe as well as domestically given that last year they were good in the league and bad in europe and this year the opposite.
Madrid started bad due to internal problems, irrelevant to the absence of competition regarding quality wise.
mancini will leave by the end of the season.
there is still competition in football, and the way things are going, there will be more competetion, thank the arabs for that, and a certain russian.

Imagine if the arabs and russians didnt take over Premier League clubs. United would have won the last 7-8 titles.

Re: Do anyone still disagree that football has become too incompetitive
title challenges usually end up looking this way, with max two teams actually challenging towards the end... there's still plenty to play for when you look a bit lower on the table, 4 points separating 4 teams in la liga for instance...

On a domestically level maybe. But the UCL this year is the most competitive, since 2007.

Of course I disagree. Look at the UCL. Hasn't been this exciting and unpredictable for years.

In terms of La Liga no. Real Madrid will be back next season.
In terms of EPL, I'm sure Chelsea/Man City/whoever will challenge Man Utd.
Not sure about Bundesliga. Bayern are the only elite elite team there. Dortmund are good, however they're prone to losing their top players.
In terms of Serie A, Juve are the only elite team atm. Inter, Napoli, AC Milan etc etc are 2nd tier.

ermm this season we made our worst start in history nah totally not due to our away form
we haven't lost at home since 2011 and last season we kept winning those tough away games that we seem to be struggling with this season. our form has picked up now tho so if we are going to win the trophy barca hve to start dropping points which I don't see them doing neither do I see us btw.
it was just that start that fecked us up, losing to getafe just summed up how bad we were

I wouldn't say they're elite like Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern etc yet. Results aren't the only thing that determine whether a team is elite imo.

Re: Do anyone still disagree that football has become too incompetitive
main factors
1) la liga has always been between el classico, and madrid had a $hit start, still owned Barca this season but crap start
2) EPL,buying RVP gives you a bonues points of 20, THATS WHY I WANTED HIM TO GO TO BAYERN.
3) Serie A, I remember Carlo Cargagnense writing an article 4 years ago of how Inter's cycle would come every ten years and when it comes, juve will dominates once again and Inter will need another calciopoli, well he was right, juve are gonna steamroll italia for the next 4 years
4) Bundesliga. Lets be honest, Bayern's pre-season targets made the league over before it started
