Hate who?
You and I have no idea what Ibra did to him while he was on the ground.

I think the titles won already prove that.
I don't think Lakers relied exclusively on Kobe in the past as they do now. In the past, Lakers had other guys to deliver when Kobe was having an off-night but now, not so much.

Well when you have Shaq, it makes sense....get someone better than Messi to Barcelona and they might not rely on him quite as much.

Not necessarily. All Barca has to do is take a look at the Heat management system. Though Miami arguably have the best player in the NBA on their roster, they are one of the most balanced teams in terms of scoring. If Barca are to continue in success, Messi needs to learn to share the goal-scoring duties, otherwise, they are only digging themselves an early grave. However, easier said than done, since Villa/Sanchez/Pedro/Iniesta/Xavi are all useless in front of goal.
Btw, Shaq better Kobe? I believe that's a matter of opinion, sir.

Surpassing Real Madrid 1955-60, Barcelona became 1st club in history to reach European Cup semis 6 seasons in a row.

Re: PSG vs Barcelona
Basketball completely different from football....so I dont think you can take away anything like that. I get where your coming from but comparing it any basketball team and how they play just doesnt work.
In basketball, all 5 players have to defend and attack. In football there are far more roles and smaller nuances.
And yeah Shaq was better than Kobe back then. Since Shaq left till the end no, but when both played together Shaq was better. 35, 14 and 3 blocks over 3 NBA finals....dont beat those numbers.

Re: PSG vs Barcelona
Shaq before the age of 30 was an absolute monster. Nobody had dominated like that since Wilt and nobody since... they allowed for zone defense because of Shaq btw. If you compare peaks, Shaq was better than kobe. Over a career... kobe obviously.

Re: PSG vs Barcelona
My favorite rule change because of Shaq: You're not allowed to use the ball as a weapon He used to take the ball with two hands and push the defender out of the way with it. He was so strong that they could strip the ball. After everyone complained, they changed the rule.

Mr Nick09 wrote:please shut up, you think Barca would win with QPR budget? you are buying success just like any other team in football. To hell with them, no matter how well they played.sportsczy wrote:So how about PSG? With all the rubbish thrown its way, it's time to give respect to the management of the club. They have money.... yes. But they have spent like football people because it is managed by football people. Nothing like City. The investments are in Verratti, Lucas, Pastore and Matuidi for the future + Ibra, Silva and Lavezzi for the immediate.
There's logic to this team.
PS: I hope they get hit by Financial Fair Play.
and financial fairplay will never hurt PSG lol
Really still not sure how what clubs the FFP will affect and which ones not so? Can u pls explain more detail how PGS won't be? I mean if they just keep spending. And the fact that Ancelotti didnt start Beckham again for me shows that its not a circuit and better managed than Man C

Dont wanna start with some Real fans, but talking player bahavior on the pitch when u got Pepe is just funny as always
eelir wrote:Xavi pass attempts 96, successful 96. Is this a new record in CL?
Sometimes we lose focus during games with so many talknig points, but Xavi is always there in the big games, being key when it matters, and providing calm and control
For me the game I was actually very disappointed with our performance and level. Cesc for these games just showed he does set the tone for us to be much slowere compared with Messi, and everybody seem to become less direct. I dont think it happens all the time, and Cesc's style works well in a lot of league games as shown, but mostly not that effective in Europe against better oppositions?
It was a bit strange, as soon as Messi came on, all our players just showed more belief and were willing and making runs into the box, whereas b4 he came on it just never happened....
We came through in the end but if we perform like this game we will not win the CL again.... the other teams left are no joke and are very strong we need to hit top form again when the games come...

He completed 50 passes in that game. Which is actually pretty high considering he was making these passes in attacking positions.

Re: PSG vs Barcelona
Its a new record now actually. It's the most passes in the CL at 100 % accuracy . It is an astonishing record if you ask me. I find it even difficult to do that on FIFA.

Re: PSG vs Barcelona
Watched the game now (had recorded it), and damn, Messi had one devastating psychological effect. They looked so lost without him, and PSG was actually having a great game. The moment he came on, you could tell Barcelona was going to score. Reminded me of that part in the Return of the King movie where Aragorn and the other two meet the pirates and he's all like 'you may go no further' and the pirates all start laughing, then suddenly an army of dead people appears out of nowhere and they all start screaming and running in terror.
And damn, Xavi 96 out of 96 passes. Even at age 33 that man still delivers
Nonetheless, a 3-3 tie is not that good and Barcelona will have to step it up if they want to actually win this.
