A frozen pizza in Norway probably is the same price as Beluga caviar

Where did you hear that?

We have a pizza here that's existed since the early 80s.

It always had a decent, but unspectacular taste, in my opinion. And that opinion's been shared by most people I know who've ever mentioned it. However, due to very good marketing strategies, it was advertised as a "cool" product during the 90s, and it worked. For some reason, people thought it was cool, I thought it was cool. It was cool. The blandest tasting pizza on the market, but it was a pizza for the cool kids.
And then the 2000s arrived. The Grandiosa wasn't selling as well as it used to. It no longer had the momentum and cool vibes that it had during the 90s, there were multiple more interesting variants of frozen pizza on the market, and things were generally going downhill for the company that once had a monopoly on frozen pizzas here. It still had a strong, cult following, and I've heard rumors that the most reclusive people in this country eat it on Christmas Eve.
In an attempt to bring back the cool factor, and appealing to the younger generations, they completely changed their commercials and advertisements from the simple, classic, jazzy, cool vibes they used to have, and introduced the cringiest shit I've ever seen seen, with their own, lame, theme songs (even ringtones at one point), random young people partying or having fun for no apparent reason. They also expanded their brand to all of the nordic countries, and added a ton of toppings and flavors that didn't exist in the past.
They always had one, token, non-white person in their first commercials, but following social media complaints, they cranked up the multiculturalism and sexual orientations to make their more recent commercials even more fun. I would share the cringiest ones here, but the early 00s ones don't seem to be on Youtube.
So, no, it's not considered a national dish here. Unless you're a hermit

Wasn't expecting such an informative post! Thanks.
I only read it passing by on twitter by a European correspondent for politics lol. Although i am not sure if it was tongue in cheek or not.
