Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
Ramsey has been absolutely fantastic for at least 2 - 3 months straight. The guy has been a beast in that centre

Goals are great, but even if he keeps up this level of performance without the goals, it's good enough.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
I prefer him playing like now and yes I'm greedy. So maybe it's time to make "Wilshere deserve more respect" soon ?RealGunner wrote:Goals are great, but even if he keeps up this level of performance without the goals, it's good enough.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
I'll say the same thing about Wilshere as i said last season.
He needs 10 90 minuts in a row to get back to his best. He had a good game tonight. Will improve

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
Man I remember defending this guy to the hilt after the Swansea game last year, so glad for Ramsey showing his ability and he'll still improve.
I hope Arsenal fans learn a lesson from with Wilshere returning to form, and Oxlade to return from injury. Nearly every young player has a dip in form and these lads are no different but they will ultimately show how good they are in the end.

I have very little to complain about him except his new found Ramsey syndrome, ball hogging.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
Taking a leaf off the Roy Keane comparison in GS here, but it's a question I have been grappling with for some time now. Something I was wondering long back, before his injury and the subsequent long road to the 2013 Rambo, when he was bossing with Cesc ahead of him.
But in light of many of us feeling we have our old Arsenal back, against the backdrop of the performance against Napoli last night, which ex-Arsenal player do you think Ramsey is like?
If he hadn't gotten injured, I would have specifically asked if he was similar in style to one of the Invincibles, despite different systems (442 vs 433), but I'll keep it general for now.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
If you were to compare him with an old Arsenal player it would Ray Parlour but with a bit more flair and technique.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
I remember Ali telling me he believed Ramsey would be our Schweinsteiger, I'd always believed he's come through but I was skeptical that he could be that good.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
lol. How many games has he played now on form? 5-10?
And neither of those games was against a top team.
Have you any idea how many national league titles and cups Scheinsteiger has won, how often he's been to the CL final, semi-final etc?
Play one successful season first, win a title, any title really, with Ramsey constantly performing, and then come back...

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
We are comparing his style. No one has said he is better than Bastian. And Ramsey has been on form since mid last season, not 5-10 games.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
Is all this necessary? Did anyone say he'd achieved the same as Schweinsteiger? And I believe Ramsey played damn well against Bayern and has been excellent since then. Pretty ironic that you'd say he hadn't played on form against a top team when he started around the time we stunned you guys at the Allianz Arena...Hapless_Hans wrote:lol. Of course it's not necessary, see above.
As for you guys stunning us, well.. history surely will remember 2013 for the year Arsenal stunned Bayern.

Re: Ramsey deserves more respect!
I don't know about "History", but quite a few gooners will surely cherish beating the treble winner on their turf, responding to a 3-0 thrashing at our home, and being the only team to beat Bayern in Munich in all competitions in that half of the season. Oh, did I mention how it felt to beat the team which beat Barca 7-0 on aggregate?Hapless_Hans wrote:Of course it's not necessary, see above.
