it's okay Devi.
if everybody would think alike...there would be less war but also less progress and innovation...and the world would be a very very boring place.
on this forum every reply to a new topic would be "agreed"...boring

I'd prefer a better player than Chicharito, but, at age 24, he has done quite well for himself at United and i wouldn't compare him to that group of strikers that Devi listed. I don't see any of those players having the same level of success at United at Chicharito's age.
Mate you said you take him for the SS position and this is where i dont agree with you because he's not that type of player unless we're planning to play Llorente in a #10 role which i highly doubt. As for his credentials ,fair play to him ,he's done well there but i say we focus on what we actually require and what we do need in my honest opinion is a Del Piero type of player and Chica is a completely different player altogether ,he's the Mexican version of Inzaghi basically.
There are rumors flying around currently btw ,take with a pinch of salt, but according to Corriere Dello Sport, they say Quags will be sold to Fiorentina and Immobile will also be sent to them on loan for Jovetic.
Fair enough, I guess we'll agree to disagree. He's probably not a typical SS, but I'm not fully convinced that is what we need. We need a versatile forward who can slot as a SS or CF, which Jovetic is.
Also, the Inzaghi comparison is ridiculous. I watched Inzaghi and I watch Hernandez quite a bit. Inzaghi would clean up the garbage on the initial scoring opportunity. Hernandez scores on the intial play into the box when he receives the pass. He is a finisher. I never saw Inzaghi regularly finish opportunities like that.
Mate, you must not have been watching Supperpippo all those years. Inzaghi's entire career was spent on hanging around the shoulders of the last defender and finishing off the first chance that is created in the box. If finishing is what we are talking about here, Inzaghi was second to none in that aspect. He was the ultimate predator. The finest finisher you could ever hope for.
I agree with Surag here, Hernandez is a miniature version of Superpippo. He does not create on his own. He waits to finish a play that has been created and delivered to him on silver plate. All he does is like penetrating already turned on woman who has been kissed, caressed, licked and made hot by another man

I saw enough of Inzaghi to know that he and Chicharito are different players. Hernandez is a clinical finisher. Inzaghi was a poacher and opportunist. I love Inzaghi, but he and Hernandez are not the same.

Re: Osvaldo available for transfer
It seems Osvaldo is quite underrated by some here... I'm shocked he is being called Amauri Matri etc. He isn't a scrub like some are trying to make him out to be. He is a very dynamic goalscorer with a lot of ability, certainly more than the likes of one dimensional players like Chicharito, and he is not old at all. I would say he is even better than Llorente right now, who can't even start ahead of Aduriz.
I think Osvaldo would be an outstanding player for Juve if he went, but for what its worth I dont think he will go.

Dint actually bring him in direct comparison to Amauri and Matri.(By the way to tell you the truth Amauri was a beast back in the day with Palermo and Matri was very good with Cagliari too before he joined Juve).Osvaldo is quality but not world class by any means and i dont believe he'll elevate us to that level we demand.Besides he has disciplinary issues too, something that might not go well with the Juventus hierarchy.
But what importantly i was trying to say here is we dont really need him since we have already secured Llorente now , he'll obviously be in direct competition with him and besides in a partnership i think it wont work out well.

Re: Osvaldo available for transfer
I see your point, yes Osvaldo may not be a fit for Llorentes partner so I see how throwing Osvaldo into the mix could logjam Juve with too many strikers, there are a few that need to be offloaded.Surag wrote:Albiceleste wrote: I'm shocked he is being called Amauri Matri etc. He isn't a scrub like some are trying to make him out to be.
