Why are we after Osvaldo ?

I can't figure it out.He can't play on the right in a 3 man attack..He's an out and out striker,he needs to be in front of goal...His time in Serie a a few seasons back was nothing special ..

Lecce - 31 Apps -8 goals
Fiorentina - 21 Apps - 5 Goals
Bologna- 25 Apps - 3 Goals


Hardly impressive now is it ...

I know he's done okay in Spain but it's a lot easier to score goals in La Liga,unlike Serie A where it is much more difficult * Where he struggled *



I really hope we don't sign this Guy ...

He's a great player, though with all the potential, he hasn't lived to his hype yet. If you can get him around 5m, that would be great.

The only reason we are after him is that he has had a very good season in spain(ENRIQUE LAND) i think with espanyol. He has got about 13 goals in 25 odd matches and was decent when he was loaned out to espanyol the season before last.

The spanish club seems reluctant to keep him thus if are serious enough for him we would have to shell a figure of 10m+ to land him.

p.s.-- If i was enrique i would still look in for better options

Flop in Serie A with Fiorentina And Bologna although he has reveled in Spanish Football and now it seems that Espanyol have put a hefty price tag on his head due to his great showing last Season...
Remember reading a report where he was valued around close to 20m and it would deemed as overpaying if Roma make progress in this particular deal..

I think Roma should rather make a RB and a Midfield signing a priority..

Espanyol want 16 million for him...frak that ...

Asking price is way too high, if not he would be an ok addition.

He's close to joining Atletico Madrid who are offering around 16 million I believe.

Some decent goals in there..But if we are to buy him i think we need to play him as the main front man..I can't see him doing much out on the wing..
