1. Purchase Kaka for 65m sell him 20 injuries later for free
2. Sell Sneijder for peanuts before he puts in a genuine claim at the Ballon D'Or and wins the treble
3. Sell Robben, who played 3 CL finals since then.
4. Sell Oezil?
5. Bale for 100m.

I don't understand how possibly the best AM in the World can be sold.

Ozil is a player that suits Ancelotti's style well. He's a player the team should be built around.

It really doesn't make sense selling the second best player at the club.

We need a president who lets the manager decide what players are bought/sold. Although I think Ancelotti apparently had some input in terms of the Ozil sale.

Or Perez needs to let the manager decide who is bought/sold. Ancelotti didn't want Bale. He was happy with the squad.

Selling Robben and Sneijder will always be above Ozil IMO but its still up there lol.

I'll have to agree on reputation on Makelele but I did not include him as I did not watch football regularly when I was 13 and frankly it slipped my mind. Still that's quite the list Laughing

What about Beckham instead of Dinho?

Ozil > Sneijder or Robben so I don't see how this can be below those.. Only time will tell I guess depending on what happens at Arsenal, and whether Ozil becomes a fat alcoholic slob in the next few years or not

He isn't Perez mistake, it's Özil himself that wanted to leave.

Only thing Perez did was buying Bale that scared Özil to leave.

And it's not a mistake anyway. Özil is vastly overrated, I rate Isco higher (I rate a lot of AMs higher than Özil tbh), lazy AMs can gtfo, nothing but a liability to the team.

To be fair, you was never really in for Dinho. He was quite an unknown quantity at the time.

It was Barca who wanted Beckham and lost out to Madrid and then signed Dinho. Though there is some debate if we were ever really in for Beckham in the first place and if Ronaldinho was going to be signed regardless.


And I would add separate, no way Ozil's sale will be as bad as Makelele..or even close. Ozil is an amazing player, but Makelele's importance was incredible. Really, there will be no debate on this, Madrid will still be great (they could even better than last season because of other signings) without Ozil...Madrid without Makelele was comedic.

Isco, Kroos, Iniesta, Fabregas are all better AMs than Özil currently is.

Meh... Time will tell. Özil is very inconsistent. I'm not entirely sure he will boss it for Arsenal. But he could, he is obviously talented... But also lazy as f*ck, which is why I don't rate him as high as others (but these AMs I named bar Kroos are better than him in technical levels aswell imo)

We will not miss Makélelé. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn't a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres. Younger players will arrive who will cause Makélelé to be forgotten
