Perfect Dark was legit. That one remake/reboot Perfect Dark Zero I believe was some poop.

Yeah PDZ was crap.

Honestly though if Rare to bring back a classic franchise like Microsoft are saying.

Then i'd rather see a platformer/action adventure than a shooter.

Something like Banjo Kazooie, Jet Force Gemini or Conker.

It would diversify the software line up at least but im pretty certain they will want an exclusive FPS launch title that isn't Halo.

Yh but the rights to Donkey Kong is owned by Nintendo.

I suppose they could make a new title with similar gameplay and ideas but not Donkey Kong itself.

Rare is pretty much dead, all the talent from when they made all of those great games has left. They aren't even the same as they were when they made Banjo Nuts and Bolts/ Viva Pinata. Most people left when MS relegated them to making Kinect Sports and all that junk.

Hopefully MS restocked their development teams with new talent to make a basically brand new studio like they did with 343 or else anything they make now I honestly think has no chance of being any good.

I still do anything for a new banjo, would buy an X1 the day it came out... but it needs to be great.. A true 3D platformer, there hasn't been any of those in forever. I can't handle another Disappointment like Nuts & Bolts.. Sad

Me too, I always beat myself up because when I was younger and the game had just come out a few months ago, it sold so poorly (Nintendo hated the game because of all the explicit stuff in it and refused to promote it) that there were tons of copies in the clearance section that stores where just trying to get rid of, and there were rows of new sealed copies for like 4$ each, and I was like.. Meh doesn't look that good (was a dumb kid lol). So I passed it up, but of course now the game is like $100+ used, and almost double that if you still have the box/manual. I always feel so stupid looking back at that lol, because I want to play it but don't have that kind of money to spend on an N64 game right now

That Rare is but they have hired lots of talented devs in last 2 years including from Ubisoft, Irrational and Naughty Dog.

The IP is there so if you put talented people behind it then it can still be a success IMO.

Maybe around jan-feb time. Also it's not a certainty that they will be released on time. Both Sony and Mehcrosoft will be trying to out-do each other. Might push it to 2014

PS4 kinda confirmed it will be out this year didn't they?

So I asume the Xbox one will be also. I'm really hoping it comes out around the same time as FIFA 14.

Thats good to hear, I haven't heard them making any hires but it does sound promising. Really hope they announce something at this e3. I mean rare has soo many great IPs that people would go crazy for, they just can't NOT use them lol.

Both consoles will be around holiday time i reckon.

As for those who want to play Conker you have two options.

Download an N64 emulator and a Conker ROM or buy the HD remake that was made for the original Xbox called Conker Live and Reloaded if you have a 360.

Not sure if the servers are still online for the MP but the story will work fine.

Also Vendetta Red they are definitely announcing something at E3 Microsoft have said Rare will be there with a "Historic Franchise" and apparently they are working on a new IP too obviously the internet has ran wild with speculation to what it is.

I just hope it isn't Killer Instinct not that it was a bad game or anything just not a massive fighting game buff.

My mate is pushing for me to get the Xbox One. I don't really care about the exclusive games since the 2 games i play most of the year are COD and Fifa.

I might get Xbox One first and then PS4 few months later.

Many more to come at least at first as exclusives more often than not give the console an identity and reason for people to buy it.

I have said for many years that i wish there would be no exclusives but that will never happen as there would be no point to bringing a console out then.

I like the new rumors about the CPU of Sexbox being much stronger than PS4 cause of the cloud technology. Although this raises more questions than answers, certainly it is the start of a comeback, no?

The only good thing they did was selling more Wii U's than Nintendo can , and getting flamed instead of Sony (because they decided to shut the hell up about DRM and leave it to Microsoft lol)

That is because its the most recent information we have.

PS4 had it all at the beginning of the year because they announced their shit early and have not really said anything since.

After E3 i'd imagine the attention will be pretty similar as they both would have 2 pressers and more info about their games, policies and features.

Hopefully price and a date too.

On another more serious note, to all those complaining about used game DRM... Who the f gave you the right to profit from someone else's work? Ok, ok pretty extreme and you might think what harm can selling a used game be but remembery there are international store chains who make infinite profit off of used games. You know why you get a discount when trading in? It's because the store sells them on for free profit. It's a massive industry of its own for which the guys who made the game get 0 money. You really think publishers didn't pressure MS and Sony into finding a solution for this problem?

Why do I see mentions of Neof*g Laughing

People seem to forget that the PS4 reveal was pretty bad too, Sony just did a better job with buzzwords everywhere. It was just as casualized (the whole friggen point of consoles) and at least I was left with as many questions as after the XBone reveal.
