microsoft has been getting alot of hate lately, first win 8 (which is a amazing os if you know how to work it), Surface (not the best but still pretty good) and now Xbox One

Yeah well Microsoft has a tendency to do something good to then fail and then do something good again , u know like that terrible Vista OS the RAM hog of all time ... nobody hated on 7 tho . And here we go again with 8 (all of the love and hate is pretty justifiable) I myself love 8 , but it's too much of a tablet OS ..

The Surface has potential , it still has to grow and evolve

Everybody hates the Xbox now for a reason .... i know they want to show games at e3 , but this presentation didnt inspire me at all that this is the next gen , they sent a bad message across the world .... and then Kinnect is always on and filming you ? privacy huh ? not to even mention the used games stuff

Cloud is a "freemium" for anything as far as I'm concerned.

And I understand cloud isn't only for storage, but I can imagine MS pulling some shizz out their ass talking about how it can impact gameplay ala EA with Sim City

Again you are speaking like its fact and assuming when none of this is fact its just rumours.

Well if it allows them to upgrade the specs over time then it will, as higher specs impacts gameplay as it gives you bigger toys to play with.

Also i agree Pusha the hate is somewhat justified because of how they are representing it..... massive PR owngoal.

As much as the games need to be shown they need to confirm everything either way but im sure they will.... surely they are not that stupid?

I'm speaking in a general sense. How many "cloud" programs/software are out there, that are free for let's say a few GBs, and if you want more you pay for more.

Dropbox, Box, iCloud, Office 365, Google Drive, SugarSync, Skydrive,etc
I'm not pulling it out of my ass.

One way or another, expect having to pay for more storage if it's ever on a "cloud" (since we are originally speaking about the 500 gb hard drive,install of games, etc)

It wouldn't surprise me considering those I mentioned above start off free but if you need more space you have to pay. And if Xbox goes this route I don't see them being an exception.

Not a surprise though really, Microsoft wouldn't do it if Sony wasn't going to do it.

Especially considering EA canned the online pass, it was pretty obvious something was going to happen.

It wouldn't surprise me if both Microsoft and Sony major backtrack because of the reaction though, Microsoft seemingly already have and reports this morning that Sony are considering doing the same as a result of backlash.

Don't bury your heads in the sand though, pretty obvious both companies planned to do this.

Only difference is Microsoft have come out and said everything and left themselves open to backlash while Sony have said nothing and waiting to see what the reaction is.

ahahaha , i saw that coming too , no wonder EA dropped online passes (i mean the wouldnt do that for "ONE" console right ??) And they also dropped developing titles for Wii U because Nintendo told them to GTFO

Multiplatform games are always standard, few time exclusive here and there, more or less polish here and there, etc.. history will repeat itself but the games will be the same, and you wont miss what you dont have lol. But seriously i think i'm weird but i'm looking at non-gaming services more than games to make my decision like Xbox Live and PSN and seeing how they work and what features they have.

You know, I'm a PC user through and through, but I've been thinking of buying a console (Xbox or PS), because they have been gaining so much ground in the gaming world. But hearing and reading how heavily the XBox has moved towards an all-round entertainment device that's tilted me back to thinking that I'll just buy a new monster PC by the end of the year and keep the computer as my one and only free-time device, because I belong in that category that wants to play games and browse the Internet and I don't want that to get complicated in any way.

I'm not gonna buy anything until both consoles are out and people start comparing how the games run and post videos on youtube so I can study it further. Surely there will be a little fps difference etc, no? If not, I dont see what PS4 (with their Killzone series which I am not a fan of) will give me but a small japanese controller in my hand. Still waiting to see what other exclusives they have to win me over with though.

I recently reviewed the PS4 presentation, and it was nothing to brag about either. They did have a guy who was like 50, and he was a developer for a game they were showing, (which looked like it could have been made for playstation 2) think he was nice to listen to though, but thats about it.

The Japanese guys could barely speak English, sounded like that guy from South Park, 'Wercome to Shitty Walk, may I take yoh orda preash?'

Anyway, I think its insane to wait so many months before they release their consoles! They might aswell release a new generation by then.

Just found out that those 15 exclusives they mentioned are all from first party microsoft studios.

So if they do happen to have any other exclusives from 3rd party such as the rumoured respawn project it isn't part of the 15 exclusives they are committing too.

8 of them are brand new titles.

The other 7 are current franchises.... No idea what though, rumours of Crackdown, Fable and an old Rare title from N64 days getting a sequel among other things.

Btw i don't expect Alan Wake because Quantum Break is made by same devs and Gears because the latest one came out in April so i don't expect that either.

Its funny actually because Crackdown and Forza are basically MS answer to Infamous and Drive Club
