I dunno....this is a tough comparison given that that their roles are significantly different.

I do believe Aquilani is the better deep-lying player as his defense splitting passes can be devastating, but Pjanic has proven to be a bit more versatile as well as better on the ball and the quicker thinker in the pass.

Overall, I really can't compare these 2.
