I mean don't get me wrong he is great talent and potential is there but just asking

He was a sub, wrongly.

He is better then Gourcuff and Gourcuff even played horrible and still he was chosen over Pjanic.

a real gem of a player..

the international break gives the new guys more time to gel in with the squad and i hope simon n miralem get in the starting 11 from match day 1

pjanic was starting before lyon bought gourcuff. then gourcuff didn't live up to expecations but he still started over pjanic

probably because of his expectations, the fact that he's french, contract clauses, etc. etc.

either way, gourcuff was simply favored over pjanic even though pjanic was performing better

he was one of the best players in the 5-5 thriller vs marseille

Pjanic: 'I'll learn from Totti'



Miralem Pjanic joined Roma on transfer deadline day. “You can’t say no to a club like this and I’ll learn so much from Francesco Totti.”
The Bosnian international arrived from Lyon in the final hours of the session for a reported €11m and was only today presented to the media.

“The captain is a World Cup winner, which not many people can say. I’ll learn so much by playing alongside Totti and it can only improve me,” said the midfielder.

“Roma wanted me strongly and this convinced me to accept the transfer. Plus, you can’t say no to a club like this.

“I have seen how Coach Luis Enrique works. It’s a style of football I like, as it’s very attacking. Of course, it will be important for us all to give our best. There mustn’t be too much pressure put on the Coach, as I’m sure he’ll do well.”

Despite joining the squad so late, Pjanic is pushing for a starting spot in Sunday’s Serie A match with Cagliari.

“I trained well and, if the Coach wants, I am ready. We used this tactical system in France, so it’s not a problem. I will admit I don’t speak the language, but I hope to learn it as soon as possible.”

The new Roma signing had also been linked with rivals Lazio before making the move.

“I had heard about their interest and I know the derby is a special game with intense rivalry between the teams. In my view, Roma are the best and we’ll try to win both games.”

Pjanic actually said, though,"Roma is a more important club than Lazio, we have to win both matches". So far so good lol.

Im loving all the interviews with the new players, it seems like with the new ownership and Enrique in charge there is a really positive attitude around the club these days.
