Valencia in Hall of Shame for Spanish sides in CL. Boo Hoo.
A Valencia fan, wow! Thought the species went extinct (barring yours truely) with the demise of Che and Hispano. Well, I would be surprised if Valencia qualify for next years CL.

halamadrid2 wrote:Malaga deserved this win. their final third play could have been better at the start especially juaquin who kept going into the middle with the ball but they pressed really well and forced porto into making long balls
porto could have been two players down in the firt half when one of their players kicked iturra (??) on his head nani style he didn't even get a card for that and the other a two footed challenge studs up by defour I think it was that gave him a yellow. malaga scored a perfectly legit goal but it was dissallowed for some reason, maybe the reff didn't see when mangala pushed baptista on the ground where then the goalie jumped on him and fumbled the ball to an open and onside saviola who slotted it in
iscos goal was just beautiful it was great of them to have scored the first in the first half or else it would have been very hard for them
roque santa cruz comes on and scores the winner who is on loan from city ahh that irony
credit to malaga defenders for making martinez anonymous for the whole game.
also I don't understand why that brazilian lb was subbed out I get he was on a yellow but he was portos best player offensively
the tackles in this game even the reff told them to calm down(both teams) I knew somebody from porto would get sent off their tackles were dangerous all game some of malagas were as well
I agree with most of what you wrote except for that. As you said, Mangala pushed Baptista and then Baptista unintentionally "tripped" the keeper. So for me, the goal was rightly disallowed BUT it should have been a penalty for Malaga...
Oh and Pellegrini

Im so awesome
He is from Malaga and as a kid he wanted to be a professional football player, so it would be pretty logical for him to be a Malaga supporter..

Re: Malaga vs Porto.
hmm harhar if somebody trips you forget that if you fall and the goalie takes a tumble over you AFTER this, I don't think you can class that as an offensive foul.
its more the goalies fault than baptistas sure he was in the way but he didn't fall into the keeper meaning the keeper took a chance going out to catch it

Re: Malaga vs Porto.
The foul doesn't have to be intentional for it to be a foul, otherwise 99% of every foul would never be a foul in the first place for the simple reason that most are unintentional. All you need is to gain an unfair advantage and if you see the play again you will notice that after he get's tripped, he rolls into the keeper. Now yes, the keeper also kind of like jumped into him, but in those situations the keeper always gets the call.
So like I said, for me the goal was rightly disallowed but it should have been a penalty for the foul on Baptista..

Re: Malaga vs Porto.
Props to Malaga, they played quite well imo. I've always felt that Isco is a bit overrated but his goal was immense.
