If he goes, I would not mind Jose Enrique at all. Not old but experienced. Already adapted to the Premier. Plays for legendary Newcastle. Win, win, win.

How much are you guys asking for him, though? Internal PL transfers always scare Wenger because of inflated price tags.

Vermaelen would be wasted as a full back in my opinion. Plus, when both Samba and Cahill inevitably get injured, he'll move back to centre back and we'd be stuck with no LB

Koscielny and Djourou are still alive you know lol and even then gibbs can cover Vermaelan. Verm. is good at going forward and will leave your CB's less exposed because he is much better at defending than Clichy.

Vermaelen is not going to be used at LB. He's probably the most solid CB we have. Left backs are much easier to find nowadays than center backs (just ask Bayern).

Vermaelan plays LB for belguim and if you sign both Cahill and Samba then Vermaelan could easily go LB.

Most likely Enrique if Arsenal dont come in for him.We arent really linked with any other LB apart from Clichy and Enrique so probably if we dont get either no one has an idea who other options are and will sign someone from France most likely.

, like the rest of Arsenal players that left.

We will sign a replacement, we have Gibbs,Carl Jenkinson and Eboue who can play that position. Gibbs is much better player going forward then Clichy is.

He was a good leftback, but he was capable of making a mistake at any time.

We need to buy a left back as well now. Gibbs' positioning and defensive awareness is woeful and there is no way we can start him at LB next year.

Hopefully we can nab Enrique from Newcastle.

I am happy that he is leaving, he was our weakest link and everything someone attack his side we were in trouble.
