What did it change? Zero shots on target before the red, zero on target after it.

If either team faced any other team in the EPL, both could have lost today...

The 2-1 scoreline really didn't do this game justice. At least Cazorla got one back.

Utd really didnt get out of second gear. They could have turned it on if Arsenal were more threatening

Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal
So easy. Stoke and Fulham gave us more of a challenge....and I'm not even tryna be disrespectful here to Arsenal fans, I'm sure they'll agree with me. Utd were in 1st gear through out the match.
Arsenal only had one or 2 shots on goal through out the entire 90+ mins. One in which they undeserevdly scored from.
A really poor Arsenal team.
RVP scoring in the 3rd min and having a great overall game must hurt like hell.

Just wish United went a game without a red card and penalty. 3 and 3 in 3

Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal
Wilshere's been out for 17 months and you start comparing him with Cleverley.
That aside, there's no excuse for being this shat.
Won't even try to argue with the result because we could have been 3-0 down around the 60th minute mark.
But hey, we're still in the COC.

Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal
Penalty was dodgy but red card was legit. The guy was doing dangerous tackles all match and was already warned.
Not going to blame him specifically though, Arsenal, as a team, was shockingly bad.
Unless you were watching another match, he was piss poor today. Ok for the first 20 minutes but for the rest of the match he was anonymous, uninspired and didn't step up, topping his awful performance with a red card.Diego Armando Maradona wrote:Not at all, comfortably the brightest player in the arsenal team, but clearly no where near his best.

Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal
People blamed and criticized Van Persie for leaving Arsenal, saying that it was for money but it was not for money.
It is obvious Van Persie has much more chance to compete for the title at Manchester United than at Arsenal.
I like Arsenal but they have a much weaker squad, not competitive for the title. and they refuse to spend big to improve it.
With Wenger, they can still get the 4th place, but not better.

IT's not fair to judge Wilshire yet. I mean I'm not a fan of his but it's way too early to think he should be able to help this team in a big way and that was one of the reasons I was so hard on people who thought he would just walk back on the field and fix Arsenal.
I mean he's been out 17 months FFS and with major injuries and honestly with Arsenal's medical staff's track record you can't even really be sure he's 100% healthy yet.
It's a 3 step process for him 1) Get Healthy 2) Get on the field and used to the speed of the game again as it's much different then practice and 3) get your confidence back to be the player you used to be.
If he stays healthy this year you will see flashes of his old self and have good or even great games here or there but IMO it's going to take all year to get back his consistency and be the player he was before the injuries.
Arsenal's club and fans should not expect the world from him this year just be happy he's back. And fans of other clubs shouldn't be judging him like he's the same as 17 months ago.

Wenger admitted this week that City were offering RVP 300k a week, but he rejected them in favour of United. He just wants to compete for titles.

Leave a struggling team to ride the coat-tails of others to a title

Word.
+ I think people are forgetting that the core of our team has changed significantly to our previous 2 seasons, especially in the offensive department.
I mean Wilshere's been playing with the likes of Arteta,Cazorla,Podolski,Giroud for the first time in his career and they expect him to fit in like he never left.

Players are not social workers.
Bottomline is that Arsenal did not have the ambition to spend big on great players.

Thats an exaggeration. He was not great, but he was not piss poor, he was the only arsenal midfielder that was looking for the ball and as far as im concerned he had a lot of quality moments, just little things, subtle passes and and some nice dribbles, he also gave the ball away now and then and didnt influence the match a lot, he was a bit out of time with his teammates, but he was not one of our worse players leading up to the red card, that is for sure. Arteta was absolutely invisible and cazorla was for some bizzare reason always doing the wrong thing when he got the ball. Podolski and ramsey were dross. So i stand by what i wrote, despite being far from his best, he was comfortably our brightest player and at least offered some fluency in our midfield, until he was sent off

If you are talking in general and other games, I wouldn't dispute it, but this game? Just bickering for the sake of it, clear handball and penalty, and a tired and frustrated Wilshere making two obvious yellow card tackles.

Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal
The problem with Arsenal isn't not spending money per se, it is wasting money. There's a serious clean up of squad needed. Squillaci, Djourou, Rosický, Santos, Gervinho, Giroud, Chamakh, and finally Walcott need to be sold. With the money and the wage allowance gained Arsenal can sign at least three top players: a striker and a winger would be priority.
And they need to stop looking to Ligue 1. Chamakh, Giroud and Gervinho were top players in French league but they are not up to standards for a top 3 team in EPL by any means.

Chamakh deserves another chance. he hasn't done horribly when played besides not score
