Re: Balon D'or 2012 list
Balotelli there it's a joke.
Pique wasn't great last season either.
Buffon should be Cech instead.
Rooney also very debatable.
About coaches, the Montpellier one should be there IMO.

Re: Balon D'or 2012 list
No spanish defender deserves to be there based on the Euros.
They had nothing to do, the midfield was their defence.
And yes David Silva should be there.

Del Bosque seems the favourite for the coach award. He deserves more recognition so I hope he wins.

Re: Balon D'or 2012 list
Im talking about any of their lists,he was amazing in the scudetto season and didn't even get a mention while the likes of Pique are always on itSurag wrote:Ganso wrote:speaking of defenders, i never understood how Thiago Silva never made it to any balon dor list ...
Tbf he had a meh season last year. Was injured for a no.of games as well IIRC.
Also this is EURO year so he unfortunately misses out or else he would have surely been there instead of Pique.

Re: Balon D'or 2012 list
Usually the lists are weighed heavily on the side of teams that won something (Milan only won 2011-12 season, so that would've been his chance) and toward attacking players. So that's why he hasn't made these lists.

Re: Balon D'or 2012 list
You know why jiopsi? Because benzema has some of the best overall play of any striker. And CR's numbers are insane, along with influence on the field.
You can't just say CR is not as effective because of that chart. That's pure bs. There are tons of other factors to consider

How are Balotelli, Pique and Rooneyon that list? Awful as usual. Sir Alex should also not be on there. No surprise the corruptable Conte isn't on there. How is Low on there as well? This list is full of inconsistencies. Bielsa should be on there!

I also struggle to see how Simeone is not there. He won the EL. While at the same time coaches who have not won much at all, or reached important places (like Low) somehow made it.Zealous wrote:Rooney was great last year imo.

Indeed, but I feel like he barely qualifies, and maybe there are other players, not in the list, deserve to be there more than him.

Bielsa ? Lol No.
Simeone is a good shout though..Definitely would've picked him ahead of Loew or SAF for sure.

In Bilbao's case I think it was the players not the coach who fell at the final hurdle. What Bielsa was doing at the start of the year was very very good and deserves recognition.

No Juventus player would've made it if not for the EURO showing..I doubt Pirlo or Buffon would've been in this list tbh if not for EURO.
We neither played CL so i dont think he deserves to be in this list in my opinion.Marchisio is worth a shout though,he was fantastic in the EUROS.

Re: Balon D'or 2012 list
How is Balotelli being there a joke? Scored many important goals for City despite being on the bench half the time, this isn't even counting his excellent performance. I don't even have to mention him for Italia. If Balotelli is a joke then so is Drogba's inclusion considering he did f**ck all the first half of the season and the PL aside from waking up in the latter stages on of the CL and FA cup final. Balotelli statistically was far far better then him.
Why is Pique there considering he was absolute cack for Barcelona and Espana? Seriously? Chellini, Pepe and Barzhagli>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>better then him last year
Why is Benzema there? Can anyone justify this one?
SAF? He didn't win a single trophy and got knocked out of the freaking CL and EL. How is this man in there? And Guardiola? Love the guy but he does not deserve to be there. Where is Montpellier's manager? What a joke.
Del Bosque and Messi should win it without a shred of a doubt.
And how Marchisio is not there makes this list even a bigger joke. Juve's 2nd best player after Pirlo last year and one of Italia's best players in the Euros.
