Re: United 2011/2012 Fixture List
The first thing I check for when the fixture lists are announced is when do we play LFC. We've got them on October...........and right after them is...........City. 2 derbies in a row. That is gonna be a tasty 2 weeks.

Boxing day is almost manageable.
I still hate this crap, making players more tired and they wonder why England NT is bad in Summer

Re: United 2011/2012 Fixture List
Your first 6 games are all tricky.
since 3 of them on the road (where you were not really good last year) and 3 at home vs Spurs, Arseanl and Chelsea.
shame, I wanted you to visit Anfield around March-April, so I could go...now I must opt for Wigan

hey at least you will still see 2 teams go for it, Wigan won't park the bus

Our March all the way to May fixtures look really good for us. Barring City away, I can't see losing one match out of those. Taking into account that we usually step it up during this period.
The way I look at it, even though we got a hard fixture list in the beginning of the season, it's best to get them out the way early and then breeze through the league racking up points against the lower tier clubs.
in fact, if we get wins early against our rivals, we could win the title by February.

It's possible. And I agree the key is going to be the early wins against top teams.

Re: United 2011/2012 Fixture List
tbh, I doubt even Barca can win the Championship by February
but yea, first 3 home games are really vital. I remember 2 years ago, United had Arsenal, City and Spurs in a row in September and got maximum points from those games. all 3 games were really tricky and turned out to be real crackers.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF ROY HODGSON TO CAUSE A SHOCK ON THE SEASON OPENER !!!!!

I was a tad over exaggerating
Also, I doubt Hodgson would want to disappoint SAF
