What did you guys do to him in england?

the guy came to madrid withthe nastiest reputation, everyone predicted he would fight and be lazy, but in the short time he was here he was loved and appreciated by all.

he racked up his first ever trophy here and went his way with everyone's love

and he can dance

Adebayor was such a nice guy.

I don't get why he had such a bad rep indeed.
Although, he knew that this was his golden opportunity, to play for Madrid, that is why he might have behaved.

All I got from that video is further confirmation that Ramos is a homo.

Adebayors personality was great imo and he blended in well with the squad, but he was kinda useless in the pitch (take madrid v gijon for example), playing him was like being 1 man down tbh.

The only one reponsible for his bad reputation is himself.

He had one good goalscoring season in 07/08. The following summer he proceeds to whore himself out to other clubs, basically saying "I'm good now so come and get me".

Obviously we Arsenal fans didn't take this well, but the club was willing to give Adebayor a substantial wage increase just to keep him here. Despite that, he was a shadow of his 07/08 self in 08/09; was lazy, unmotivated and turned in bad performance after bad performance.

So with an already tarnished reputation for his antics in the summer, he made it worse by not putting in the effort on the pitch.

The following summer, we sold him. He was creating divides within the dressing room, the fans had grown to dislike him and he himself probably wanted to go. City came calling with a nice offer and big fat wages, and off Adebayor went.

It doesn't end there. Adebayor then claims that the Arsenal fans turned on him for no good reason and he thought he was being unfairly treated. So to get his ownback, he scores against us for City and runs the entire length of the pitch just to celebrate in front of the fans. And he purposefully stamped on van Persie's head. Neither went down well at all, not even with fans of other clubs.

Even for City, he didn't play that well and pretty much repeated his 08/09 form. So the City fans ended up turning on him.

No surprises really why he's generally disliked here.

So the same people that are saying that they don't think Cristiana is arrogant and a douche or whatever like the media portrays him and that they'll only judge him if they met him, are judging Adebayor by him dancing the locker room? lolz

Adebayor really wanted to stay at Real Madrid. Hopefully we buy him as third striker.

Oh yea the celebration against Arsenal by Adebayor was unnecssary, No respect at all.

Don't think he will however. I think he is too expensive for a third striker and not some big-game crunching veteran who can turn the tide.

While what Ade did, in stamping on RVP was totally out of order, I dont dismiss the fact he did it because RVP came in for him pretty aggressively.

Yes, the ball was there to be one and there wasnt any bad contact at all, but RVP came in with more aggression and intent on Ade then he would have otherwise.

Doesnt excuse at all what Ade done, not at all, but that was a factor is all im saying.

yh im not convinced that things are as one way as people make it sound.

Sure he made mistakes, but he cant possibly be the cause of all that happened

Just making an observation..

His ego doesn't match his limited talent. In his mind, he should be the president of the company, when in reality, he's the doorman at the front, opening car doors and greeting guests

Like it or not, he was. The fans genuinely loved the guy when he was banging them in as we thought we'd found a goalscorer that would Henry's boots. But he went ahead and ruined it by trying to get other, bigger (admittedly) clubs to try and sign him.

That's a cardinal sin for any footballer to commit.

In the end he wasn't sold because of his bad form - we're not really known as a club that sells for that reason - but for his poor attitude and relationships with other players and the fans.
