Roma 'worried' about De Rossi
By Football Italia staff
Roma’s chief medic admits Dodo and Federico Balzaretti are improving rapidly, “but we are a little worried about Daniele De Rossi.”
The midfielder pulled up with a suspected thigh strain during Italy’s 2-2 draw with Bulgaria on Friday evening.
The Azzurri had already completed all their substitutions, so he tried to carry on for a few minutes, but eventually gave up.
De Rossi has already been sent home from the Italy training camp ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against Malta and will undergo tests tomorrow.

We lost Burdisso for a whole season last year when he was on international duty, now DDR is set to be out for at least a month...
When he limped off the pitch against Inter, shouldn't it have been a warning sign that he should probably stay in Rome for the international qualifying break?
I know Daniele is a warrior and wants to play every minute of every game any time and anywhere, but now look at the state of it.
Big loss for us.

Re: Roma 'worried' about De Rossi
De Rossi is an important piece for AS Roma.Without him it will be harder for Zeman to manage a good strategy for the defensive phase.
Rossi's defensive tasks are hard to complete by other players.I am really curious to watch Roma playing without him, because if they are a great team, they should manage somehow even without Daniele De Rossi . I am confident that Roma will do a great job this season with Zeman.

Re: Roma 'worried' about De Rossi
Better question is why did Prandelli play him when he wasn't 100%. Italy have plenty of cover in midfield so DDR wasn't really needed in this fixture.
Blame is squarely on Italy. DDR will always answer their call so to blame Roma for him being loyal to his country is a little harsh.
