Pique vs. Vlad Chiriches

I find pique the most overrated player in the world.. he doesn't have speed, he is terrible with the ball (a user said very well here: he looks scared with the ball).. He's not very good at marking against good players.. He's lucky enough to play with iniesta, messi, xavi and busquets..
Chiriches is a great romanian prospect(defender) with good technique, he was in attention of Barcelona, Real and ac Milan.. If you see this name(Chiriches) first here, don't forget it!

Personally, i think Chiriches is the best Romanian defender after Stefan Radu from Lazio.He has great tehnical abilities.Vlad is doing well in attack and he represents a danger to the opposite's team GK.I watched him a lot.He is young and i agree with you, he is a lot better than Pique.



Move to 0:15 and wait for the replay.This is one of the tackles that represents him.He also has good ball control and gives many decisive passes.

He didn't move this summer, but it's clear that he is a real talent, due to the fact that those big clubs were interested in signing him.

A year ago he was overrated as we thought he well go to the form he was when he joined Barca. I guess he can still go to that form once he is partnered with a leader and the team playes more or less same pressing game. But then we would know he only works on specific set of conditions

Last year Spain won Euro, third big trophy in 4 years and and people were rating guys like Pique and Ramos very high..

How many things have changed in a year time... In that time last year Dortmund were considered prone to flop in Europe again etc

Barca fans were bitching that he had been shit for a year and a half at that point. I'll grant you a minority still rated him and claimed he was "back" but I think in general he was definitely not overrated.

People have been saying Pique is crap for well over a year.
