Re: #8 - Javi Martínez
Javi to be honest is best as CM as I predict his partnership with Scweinsteiger will allow the latter to have more freedom in his forward bursts yet there is also the dilemma of Kroos yet I suspect he will resume his AM role. Babun can further explain here as I trust him on this.
Even if Javi plays in the back he is actually a better CB then both Boateng and Badstuber which is by no means an insult to both of them.

Re: #8 - Javi Martínez
I think this might pave the way for a change in setup TBH.
They no longer need to Kroos to be a tempo setter in midfield and since they operate mostly through the wings anyway they might just opt to play two forwards instead of one.
Ie , the Fergie way.
The deception if this does indeed happen will be legendary.

Aaaaaaannnnndddd its a DM
So what?
Why they think he's going to make so much of a difference for their team that they feel he's worth that amount is beyond me.
Not many, if anyone, feels that he is worth 40m. However, Martinex is a player that Bayern needs in order to win a treble. As a result 40m is spent to meet the release clause but due to Javi cutting his salary it will save Bayern money.
Now in the mid Gustavo, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Mueller, Shaqiri, robben, Ribery and eveny Tymoschuk are capable players. It could go something like:
------------------------Martinez----------------------Schweinsteiger--------------------
------Ribery-------------------------Kroos-------------------------------------Robben----
OR
------------------------Martinez----------------------Kroos------------------------------------Ribery--------------------------Mueller-----------------------------------Robben-----
OR looking at what everyone could play
-------------------Tymo/Martinez/Gustavo----------Kroos/Schweinsteiger----------
--Shaqiri/Ribery------------Mueller/Kroos/Mandzukic------------Robben/Shaqiri--
There is a ton of reason for optimism now.

Who would move from €2m per year to €3 -3,5m after taxation if not for image rights ?Zealous wrote:The Adidas thing definitely makes sense.
Bazilian economy is on the rise compared to Spain Also, most of the teams that won CL had at least one Brazilian starter in their team Nevermind, TS would've corrected their main weakness in defence . Well, better for us to leave BAD-stuber thereGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:*Thiago *Falcao

Re: #8 - Javi Martínez
I don't understand.... is Babun seriously trying to convince us that Bayern would rather spend 40M on a DM than spend 20M on a just as good one and pay 8M taxes, keeping 12M?
Let's stop trying to justify it, Bayern got shafted. They claimed that his fair market price was 22M and ended up paying 40M for him.

You think of most players too highly Players like Higgy are of the rare breed They don't need those 12m in their bank account Name me a ball playing DM for 20M.BarrileteCosmico wrote:I don't understand.... is Babun seriously trying to convince us that Bayern would rather spend 40M on a DM than spend 20M on a just as good one and pay 8M taxes, keeping 12M?

Well, he is good enough for Newcastle I only see 3 or 4 guys as the same type of ball playing DMs : Biscuit, Vidal, Martinez and partially Khedira. The rest doesn't have the balance. Bayern got the one they could get. The other 3 won't be sold anytime soon

Re: #8 - Javi Martínez
It's quite sad how underrated Anita is on this forum. He is one of the main reasons that Ajax has returned to playing the football I have grown up to watch and admire. I watched his first game for Newcastle, and he was one of the best at recovering the ball and easily the neatest passer, courtesy of the Ajax schooling sytem.
I'm not sure how well he will do in a double-pivot, seeing as Newcastle's whole midfield got overun. He is more than a defensive midfielder. He can dictate games, tackle and pass. Seeing him leave Ajax was one of the saddest moments since I started watching football.

you still rate Khedira on the ball ? he dont even have better ball technique than our main CB.

Re: #8 - Javi Martínez
Yeah we played awful against Chelsea as far as that goes, we should play 4-3-3 tbh, we control games better and are more fluid going forward and more balanced as a whole.
I hate 4-4-2.
Also i agree with you on Anita i have been impressed but like a lot of our players are not suited to 4-4-2, no idea why we persist with it tbh.
Especially when you consider we won 7 games in a row last season using 4-3-3, all a bit confusing.
Anyway, continue back to the topic.

Bayern fans.... just like Madrid fans when we paid 30 mil for Coentrao.... think about this for a second.
You paid 46 mil for a DM

That's inaccurate. He exercised the clause without Bilbao knowledge actually lol. He had to pay 40 mil + taxes to do that.
