Re: Luisito
0.55 goals per game.
That's basically 1 goal in every 2 second game guaranteed.
Torres had 2 goals in every 3 games for the club by the time he reached 90 appearences (0.66) and he's no doubt the more clinical striker out of the two. But what I found interesting is when you compare the two players that Torres and Suarez played with.
'Nando was surrounded with a prime Gerrard, Alonso, Yossi, Kuyt and AA. Say what you want but I rate Aquilani. (There were more but they were the main. Quality players and the service of Gerrard and Alonso is one of the best you'd ever fine.)
Then you have Luis. Who's played with Downing, Gerrard, Henderson, Carroll, an ageing Maxi, ageing Kuyt, and the two youngsters in Suso and Sterling. The quality difference is huge.
From that list, Gerrard is the only quality player - and he wasn't at his best last season, which is scary. Henderson, Suso and Sterling are all young and Carroll didn't feature much with Luis. But when he did, we did play better to an extent as Luis had less pressure from the opposition marking him but that's not my point. Luis has played with an inferior team, well a team in transition to be fair to us, and has consistently scored for Liverpool Football Club.
Put him now next to the Coutinho and Sturridge players coming into the squad and you'll see Luis' goal to game rato just go up and up and up.

Re: Luisito
Suarez needs only 2 more goals to become the highest South American goalscorer in PL history.
Current holders are Aguero and Tevez both with 23 goals.

Re: Luisito
Doesn't he have 8 yellows in the league that means he needs two to get a ban right?

Re: Luisito
I explained the rule a page back. Basically If Suarez get's two yellow in the next 4 games he will be suspended for 2 matches (because he's already had one suspension earlier in the season).
After the 4 games he's safe again until the end of the season.

He needs to keep his cool (along with his shooting boots). If we are to get anything out of this season, he needs to play every game.

Re: Luisito
Luis Suarez wrote:"It's incredible for me," Suarez told LFC TV after collecting the annual prize [2012-13 LFC Player of the Season].
"This is very important for my life and I know I have the supporters helping me - it's so important for me.
"My work is helping the team and I try my best on the pitch. I hoped the team would be in a better position but we tried our best. We are all ready for next season.
"When the manager arrived here it was a little difficult because maybe he didn't know the players or the club. The first season for the manager was good for the confidence of the players. Next season we can be better.
"Of course there's more to come from not only me but all of the players in the dressing room. That's important."
Now give it a day or two and we'll be seeing stories about how Suarez "wants out" because of the sentence in bold, entirely ignoring the other quotes where he repeatedly talks about doing better for supporters next season.

Re: Luisito
Can someone just give me clarity, i'm trying not to make anything out of it, but everyday a new quote comes out of Suarez's mouth. Is this all horse shit or what? I'm so sick of this being at the focal point of every website. Is there anyway were we can actually find what his actually said, cause i just don't believe anything anymore.

Re: Luisito
Btw with last night goal vs Spain, Suarez is now the highest goal scorer in Uruguay history with 33 (tied with Forlan).

Re: Luisito
guys I cant tell you how happy I am the way suarez issue is handled by BR n co. Specially, that hard stance taken by BR to let him train alone and all that, coming strong in press conference, my respect for BR has touched sky ceiling,BR in interview wrote:At a press conference in Dublin, Rodgers said: "Luis is training on his own and he understands totally where we're coming from.
"It's been a difficult period for him but it's my job to protect the group. Once he's back with the spirit he'll rejoin the group.
"We're quite calm. The club is in control of the situation. We've got no inclination to sell and we've been strong on that.
"Luis has fought for his life for Liverpool. There will come a point where he'll recognise the club is not going to sell and then he goes on to the pitch and he'll give 100 per cent.
"He's a world-class striker. I've got no question that when he's back he'll have a similar impact [to last season]."

Re: Luisito
Luis Suarez to sign new Liverpool contract
Luis Suarez will stay at Liverpool and believes he will sign a new contract with the club. According to Martin Charquero, a noteable Uruguayan journalist who works for Sport890, among others, Suarez has be convinced by the fans' support.

Dunno if he wants to commit or insert buy out clause:scratch:

We've discussed it in the rumours thread.
A lot of us are assuming that a buy out clause is imminent.
