I think one more season at a club like Swansea will do, he'll be ready then.
WBA finished three points ahead of Swansea and isnt in Europe, what would they offer Lukakus development that WBA didnt already give him? Plus Swanseas lack of Shane Long is another deterring factor
If we dont get him in the roation next season then we're going to have to buy two strikers this window (im assming Torres goes) and then we'll have Lukaku coming in at the end of next season creating an overload at the CF spot unless we offload someone at the end of next season which i dont think is a wise move. continuity and chemistry is vital for long term success

I don't think we'll sell Torres or Ba.
Swansea have EL football because of COC. They also have a better style of play which is more like ours, which will help him develop his technique.

Get Lukaku back and you have got your strike force.

I dont think there is a need for him to go on loan again, a pre-season with the squad will do the trick and there is no need to go after a big money striker.

I have been saying this.. everyone wants a new striker. He might be slow at the start, but by Jan he will start banging goals.
Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
yep big money striker= torres situation, going with lukaku will be drogbas second coming with more style

Lukacoup! West Ham want Romelu Lukaku and Andy Carroll as their strike-force for next season:

Would arguably be the worst possible place he could go.

Looks like Romelu Lukaku would be more interested to go to Dortmund, though:

I'd much rather see Lukaku loaned to Dortmund than Wet Spam

It isn't going to happen, at least not next season, sadly.

Welbeck doesn't start at United. He's their 4th-string striker.Uncanny wrote:if wellbeck gets chances to start at united, this should be starting for us too

Jose: Lukaku can be our new Drogba:

Rob Beasley pulling more random garbage our of his arse as he goes along.

Lukaku will never be Drogba. No one will. I hate it when people say stuff like that..

I'm more concerned with the fact that Beasley thinks people actually believe José is calling him up everyday to brief him on our summer transfer activity or something

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
Drogba is god like! But Lukaku could be god like, as Lukaku!

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
Only reason they are compared is bc they both are black, and got the strength, plus lukaku said drogba was his idol. The difference between the two was drogba was a late bloomer into professional football, while lukaku has been killing it and impressing since he was 16

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
Well Lukaku might be killing it but when it comes to Drogbas accuracy and first touch.. Lukaku is still a kid.
Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
They don't even play the same IMO.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
Yes Im not saying Lukaku is even close to what Drogba has done, Drogba is very experienced and you know he's the guy you can count on when you need that goal. But professional career wise, drogba came in late and started killing it, but lukaku started up younger, and there will obviously be comparisons between the two simply because they both represent powerful strikers. Just like how Marco Reus and Bale are being compared to CR7, because they both are pacey, tricky, and play wide, but they aren't Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi is compared to maradonna, but they aren't the same hahaha I could go on and on.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
I have not watched him at all in the PL this season, but i saw your preseason games and i have watched some Belgium(watching them right now vs USA) and I have to saw that he is a great goalscorer/finisher but his overall play is awful. His passing is average and he has the first touch of a rapist

hahahaha, yes I think that's the problem, he's not very good at linking up that well. Also playing for West Brom and scoring that many goals is one thing, I guess at the end he needs to be able to link up with our playmakers to be successful at Chelsea.
