Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
Surprised nobody posted this about PL's most in demand young striker.
"I'm at a point where I have to make a good career choice," Lukaku is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.
"We have a new investor at Everton and out of courtesy I will listen to what he has to say. But I have my own ideas in mind. I want to win titles.
"I have had a very good season, but it is time for me to write myself a CV. That is why I play football. I got that trophy-winning mindset from Chelsea.
"People in Belgium don't see me playing for Everton, but I am respected by fans, managers and experts like Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Thierry Henry."

Re: Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
I think he will stay in Premier League, that championship is built for tall, strong players like him to succeed.
Arsenal i would say.
As i read the first post i immediately thought of Chelsea, but since they have bought him in the past to take Drogba's spot...then sold him to Everton 2 years later to replace him with Drogba !! Seems a bit clownesque to re-buy him once again, but with Abramovitch you can expect everything.
Then i thought of City but i think he's not Guardiola favorite type of attacker. Leads us to Arsenal who is lurking around, searching for years to sign a reliable striker. With all due respect, Giroud sucks like a vacuum, he had many long no-scoring streaks and stills struggles at poaching in free nets. Gunners should give Lukaku a try

Brought back Mourinho after firing him in 2007.(Fired him again )
Brought back Matic who was initially sold by them
Brought back Drogba of course
You bet if De Bruyne was still available and playing for Wolfsburg, they would've tried to bring him back too.

Re: Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
realistically I can only see him going back to Chelsea
if we sign Ibra anyway, can't see him at City or any other clubs
he's too good for Everton though, maybe Liverpool? not sure though since he's basically a very rich mans Benteke, don't think he fits Klopp though

I know you're trolling but Juventus simply cant afford him.£50M(€60M odd) is something a PL team would pay.
Abroad teams wont be arsed to match those hefty valuations of Everton.

Re: Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
Anyway its Mourinho that dint want Lukaku and opted to choose Drogba instead. So yeah, you can rule out United as an option now.
Dont think he'd have too many qualms about returning to Chelsea.

Re: Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
To be fair tho, he could fit very well in this actual Chelsea squad.
We'll see... football became so crazy these recent years... he might as well end up in China hehehe
How about 20M + Zaza on loan ?

Completely forgot they'd need a replacement for him.
They can have Zaza for €40M if they wish to

... You mean replace Costa after he goes in the summer, right?
What're the odds that Rooney goes the other way, playing the part of the prodigal scouser returning home to 'the Ev'?

Re: Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
-first Everton player to score 20 or more goals in a single season in Premier League history.
-The 23-year-old's goals at Goodison Park on Saturday also took him to 81 in the competition and he is one of only four players to pass the 80 mark before turning 24.
The three previous players to do so are Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney - so he is the first foreigner to rack up so many Premier League goals at such a young age.

can see a return to Chelsea
wish we went after him

Re: Romelu Lukaku back at Chelsea
he's a good striker but I don't want him, game's too limited IMO
handful of strikers out there I'd much rather have that would cost 10-30m less

You're not gonna get Belotti, just let that go. However, Morata is available.

This went 0-100. I thought he had chosen Man U.
Will be hilarious if Man U manage to not sign him and turn to Morata
