Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
The only player on the team right now who I'm absolutely positively sure isn't going to be sold is Hazard. Everyone else, much less those out on loan, can get sold. I'm afraid that story is very believable.

I'd say The safe ones would be Hazard, Oscar and Courtois tbh.

I'm not even sure Courtois will be playing for us next year.

I am, I think they'll let Cech go for Courtois.

I say keep both. I'd hate to see Big Pete leave.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
I'd like to see that too, but knowing Jose, he'd play Cech and we'd end up losing Courtois.

I'd say Hazard and Oscar. Courtois is very much a coin-toss at this point. The rest all sellable as well, as Barry said.

None of us would like to admit it, but a prime drogba would struggle in our system as it doesn't involve physicality and hold up play, the same us arguable of lukaku
That's an interesting note.
Much has been made about Chelsea's strikers and how they've been struggling, but personally I think that your formation is a really difficult one for a striker. The three AMs in your 4-2-3-1 like to keep the ball, like to build up attacks and take their own chances. Given the quality of your AMs and the way they like to play I actually think that a false-nine might be better suited for your game and click better with your AMs.
I mean, I've seen Torres try and play off the shoulder of defenders for you, looking to make that run to a through-ball, but the angles are never quite right in a 4-2-3-1, the tempo is often about having possession behind the striker than actually releasing him early, the mind-set of the AMs seems to be more about "how can I use our striker to lay off the ball for one of us three AMs" rather than setting particularly him up with a chance. Somehow it's not very direct and strikers usually have their best moments from direct plays. But in your formation your striker needs to play a lot with his back to the goal, receiving passes that are always meant to be passed back.
Anyway, you've got probably the best set of AMs in the world, so it's quite understandable that your play revolves around them.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
While you have a point, Art, I don't think its that difficult for striker in this system tbh. The amount of one on one chances, tap in chances and platter of gold chances(like open nets) our strikers have missed this season is astonishing. A clinical striker would have converted 80% of those and probably be on a 20+ goal season already. Its that bad.

I think our system requires a specific type of CF, the club will have to purchase perfectly to get it otherwise we'll have another Torres on our hands.

Not sure if Cavani is that guy or not.
