Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB

I could not believe it. I had to think. Is this really happening? European champion ... My life has changed and I'm only nineteen. (Suddenly) But there is one person that I will never forgive for what he did to me: The previous coach.

It's not just [that he left me off the Champions League squad]. It was also the way he spoke to me and with me in mind. Right from the beginning. That was weird. I can not stand it when you do so to me. I received no explanation. On training he put me right or left front. I was at the practice contests the substitute with the shirt to constantly switch teams. I really learned nothing!

Keep in mind we've also seen Anelka, Alex, Mikel, Kalou and a few others complain about AVB(and even Torres' agent) and the way he handled the team and players. For a man that was supposed to "usher in a new era", he didn't even give the youngsters a chance. Bertrand didn't get a single minute of premiere league football, only 2 Carling Cup matches and that was it. Yet you see RDM starting Bertrand in a CL final. AVB would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS do that......then again he probably wouldn't even be in the CL final.

I am really sorry Barret, but i will never rate Di Matteo over AVB unless he repeats what he has done next season.

For me, AVB was a victim of player power in the dressing room and it is really unfair to judge his capabilities after you know that.

AVB is a great manager he just made naive choices and made a terrible career choice.

Oh absolutely, no doubt he's got massive potential. You don't win the Europa League by being as good at coaching as a myself lol. He's definitely going to do well elsewhere and he would have learnt from his mistakes at Chelsea. But that being said, he was rightly sacked. RDM who MAY not be a better coach than him, has done a better job than him. You can't deny that.

Yeah fair enough, i personally think that AVB's awfulness ( atleast in the league ) was overstated i reckon he could have got top 4 but he wouldnt have won the CL or FA Cup IMO.

Just a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, what AVB was doing at Chelsea is something that needs to be done but maybe dont get rid of the big name guys as quickly and definitely not all at once.

Who ever gets him will reap the rewards if he is given time, of that i have no doubts.

AVB strikes me as someone who thinks he is smarter than he actually is.

Overall though he is a good coach. Lukaku complaining is lol though.

I really feel sorry for Lukaku. I wanted to see him play and develop and also learn a few things while Drogba was still around. Hopefully he did anyway.

Lukaku has been shit.
Missing sitters and wasting possession is all that he has done when i have seen him in the couple of appearances he has. One decent match i recall.

Under AVB: Kalou was shit. Mikel was shit. Anelka was shit. Alex was shit. Torres was shit(hasn't totally recovered though). Lampard was shit. JT was shit.

Any surprise that all these players are playing well under RDM?(bar Anelka, Alex)

In only one match RDM played Lukaku(against Blackburn), he finally looked like the player we forked out £18M for.

If you want to judge players based on one match, Carroll can arguably be costlier than Torres.
