He is a B2B player and never played Solo DM role with any teams including German NT. He is not good enough in one on one defending to be a solo DM imo.

He could some what replace Mikel but not as a solo DM, more of a more defencive B2B pivot CM.

Only when Khedira was injured. Like against BVB second leg,Mancity game etc..

Khedira currently is better than Essien.

Khedira is a beast, he would be a defo starter in our midfield. However he's not my first choice, I sure wouldn't say no to him.

Khedira would mean the end of one of Mikel, Essien, Ramires or Romeu's Chelsea career though and he isn't the passer we need, meaning we would have to buy 2 CM's this term.

CM is the crappiest part of our team. Possibly even worse than up front, which says alot. Almost anyone there would be an improvement over what we have in the first team squad currently.

While Oscar, long term, could play there, I would not feel comfortable with Oscar as next seasons pivot starter.
