The France international has been heavily linked with a transfer to the Premier League club but LOSC have been immovable in their decision to retain his services.

Newcastle had a fresh approach for the right-back rejected by the French club last week and now his coach has declared that there is nothing the player can do.

"He doesn't really have the choice. The club has made a decision and he has to deal with it," Garcia told French publication Nord Eclair.

According to various Turkish sports media outlets, Liverpool are preparing an €8 million bid for the flamboyant winger.

The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is understood to be a fan of 28-year-old Quaresma and has marked him out as a replacement for Dirk Kyut, who moved to Fenerbahce last month for €2.85 million.

Quaresma made 38 appearances for Besiktas last season and contributed with seven goals and 11 assists.
