Toulalan would be a more experienced option.

Newcastle's midfield would be excellent if they signed Toulalan. Tactically sound, high work rate, physically strong and good technical ability between the three of them. Would give a really good base for the attacking players to weave their magic.

Indeed, although i have a hard time believing it because of his age. It's unusual for us to buy a player who is about to turn 29.
Would be a good signing though.

I'm not worried about him, it's just that our policy is buy 26 or under.
Buy low and sell high etc etc.
While Toulalan would be a good signing, his signing would mean a change in policy.
Which is why i find it hard to believe.

He only just turned 27 the other day so it doesn't count
Beside's it explains why the management are not willing to pay much for him.
I don't agree with it, but there you go.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 6
Matias Suarez’ proposed transfer to CSKA Moscow has been cancelled.
The Russian Premier League club agreed a fee of €14.3M for the Argentine striker with Anderlecht, but detected a problem with his knee during medical tests yesterday.
A further day of tests has now convinced CSKA not to proceed with the transfer, meaning Suarez will be heading back to Belgium.
"We have had contact with the management at CSKA Moscow and they are not proceeding with the transfer of Matias Suarez", said Anderlecht sporting director Herman Van Holsbeeck.
"Matias is probably disappointed and we will not receive the money promised by CSKA Moscow."
However, Van Holsbeeck chose to look on the bright side and focus on having a player who was last season’s Europa League top scorer before Anderlecht were knocked out, back at the club.
"On the other hand, we get an exceptional player and defend the title with the nucleus of the team."

Not when they said Debuchy played for PSG and Lyon in the same summer it isn't.
When he plays for f*cking Lille
Also i refuse to believe "skysports understands" anymore if they had any reliability at all we would have signed Debuchy a month ago

Ajax's director of football, Marc Overmars, has reiterated the club are keen to keep hold of reported Newcastle United target Vurnon Anita.
Anita, 23, revealed in July he is open to a move to the Premier League, with Newcastle said to be monitoring his situation.
Reports on Sunday claim the Magpies are set to lodge a £7.5 million bid for the Netherlands international, but Overmars is hopeful he will remain at Ajax.
Overmars is quoted in the Sun as saying: "We don't want to lose Vurnon."

Dzeko:
When Goal.com asked if the Rossoneri was still his favorite club, the Bosnian said tellingly: "I have been following what has happened in Italy and I know that AC Milan have sold two of their best players.
"I would also like to play, of course, in Italy at some point."

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 6
With Leonardo Bonucci facing a potential ban of three-and-a-half years, Juventus are targeting Cagliari defender Davide Astori.
Bonucci was in court yesterday to fight the charges of sporting fraud, which could see him suspended for three years and six months if found guilty.
A verdict is expected between Wednesday and Friday, but in the meantime he has gone with the squad to Beijing for the Italian Super Cup against Napoli on Saturday.
According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are preparing for the worst and therefore beginning talks with Cagliari for his replacement.
The target is fellow Italian international Astori, who had already been very close to Milan this summer.
Cagliari are not prepared to part with their centre-back for less than €12m, although Juve are hoping to propose a paid loan with option to buy plus the loan of Ouasim Buoy.
Other options include Salvatore Bocchetti, Bruno Alves, Andreas Granqvist, Federico Peluso and Marco Andreolli.

Reports suggest that Maicon could extend his Inter contract but keep the same overall wages.
Persistent links away from the San Siro were heightened following his omission from the squad list for the Europa League third qualifying round against Hadjuk Split.
Despite that a Sunday morning report in La Gazzetta dello sport claimed that Maicon could infact remain with Inter.
According to the report Maicon would extend his current contract while keeping the same overall wages, in effect spreading the cost over a number of years.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 6
The Brazilian Football Federation says no English club has been in contact about trying to sort out a medical for Lucas Moura during the Olympics, while Sao Paulo say they will fight hard to keep him.
The highly-rated 19-year-old has attracted the attention of several clubs in Europe this summer and it is understood that Manchester United are in pole position to secure his signature.
However, Brazil's FA (CBF) has dismissed reports of Moura being given permission to undergo a medical with United.
"We haven't received any request from an English club regarding that," the CBF told Globo Esporte.
"In case we do receive such a request, we won't allow the player to leave Brazil's training to undergo the medical."
Moura's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has also insisted it is too early to talk about the player completing a transfer anywhere.
He said: "I don't talk about factoids. This news about the selling of Lucas is not true."
Sao Paulo maintain that no talks are currently taking place over a proposed move as they look to hold on to the winger, although they admit it would be wrong to rule out a departure.
Vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes told Lancenet: "He will certainly return to Sao Paulo.
"There is no negotiation going on. As we have already said it's very hard for him to leave during the current transfer window.
"We have no interest in selling him but Sao Paulo are not stupid. We know that in certain situations you can't say no.
"But such kind of offer hasn't come yet."

Besiktas's Portuguese international Ricardo Quaresma, has been linked with a move to the English Premier League.
According to various Turkish sports media outlets, Liverpool are preparing an €8 million bid for the flamboyant winger.
The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is understood to be a fan of 28-year-old Quaresma and has marked him out as a replacement for Dirk Kyut, who moved to Fenerbahce last month for €2.85 million.
Quaresma made 38 appearances for Besiktas last season and contributed with seven goals and 11 assists.
