So yeah i do have doubts he would play in the EL, Joe Allen is a very good player though
I'm not saying we'll get Sahin, but if somehow that ended as a possibility then I don't see him leaving us when his loan ends to sit the Madrid bench.
Oh right yeah, i don't believe he wouldd go back to Madrid after his loan expires.
If his loan is a success at what ever club he goes to i think he will stay there.

Alonso isn't going to be starting forever. Didn't he say he wanted to return to Liverpool one day too?

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 6
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has piled the pressure on Montpellier in a bid to force through a switch to AC Milan.
Sources in Italy have revealed that the 23-year-old centre-back, who is wanted by the Rossoneri to replace Thiago Silva, has informed the French champions that he is prepared to run down his contract, which has just one year left to run, and then join Milan.
This has put pressure on Montpellier, who risk losing their captain without a transfer fee next summer, if they do not do business with Milan.
The Italian giants have bid €6M for Yanga-Mbiwa, but Montpellier’s owner Louis Nicollin has been keen to stress that he wants to keep the defender – and a price of €18M was slapped on the player’s head.
Milan’s vice-president Adriano Galliani then instantly called off a planned trip to France due to the difference in valuations between the two clubs.
Now though Yanga-Mbiwa has piled the pressure on Montpellier, by insisting if he is not sold this summer then he will walk away for free next year.

If so, someone should tell Brendan Rodgers so that he can begin lining up the suitors for the "Scottish Alonso."mtfootball wrote:Alonso isn't going to be starting forever. Didn't he say he wanted to return to Liverpool one day too?
I don't see us getting Sahin if we buy Allen outright. I know what my preference between the two would be, but that doesn't really matter. Sahin is a pipe dream. Nice if it happens, but don't hold your breath...
I don't think he has a real future at Madrid, though. If they land Modric, which seems to be only a matter of time, they will have Alonso and Modric who could play as a deeper distributor. I highly doubt that Modric has the mobility and finishing to fit Mou's conception of a CAM, where Ozil currently plays. Similarly, I don't see him replacing Khedira. I think he's too attacking minded to be a highly effective B2B at the level Madrid want to play at. I only see him as an Alonso replacement. Therefore, Sahin's niche will be inhabited by two players who are arguably at a higher level than him. That's a sign it's time to move on.
Also, for the record... it's Chiek.

Capoue:
"I want to play in the Champions League, and face the best teams in the continent. Toulouse cannot offer me that this season," he told L'Equipe.
"We missed out on Europe at the end of the Championnat. Yes, I want to leave.
"It's not that I'm not happy at Toulouse, but I want to progress, pass a course and integrate as quickly as possible in the France team."
However, club president Olivier Sadran is reluctant to lose one of his best talents and suggested Capoue should stay with the Ligue 1 outfit to further develop his skills.
"For Etienne, I have not received any offers. Many big clubs think that some of our top players have yet to mature," he said.
Arsenal were linked with the midfielder earlier this summer and reports in Spain have outlined Seville's interest in the player.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 6
Villarreal sporting director Jose Manuel Llaneza has denied reports that Giuseppe Rossi will join AC Milan this summer.
Rumours had emerged that Massimiliano Allegri was looking at the forward as a possible replacement for PSG-departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Llaneza was quoted in Milannews denying that a deal for the striker was already in place between the two clubs.
"Rossi to Milan? This is the first I've heard of it, so what is there to say?
"It is clear that there is nothing to say in regards to this. There is nothing."
The 25-year-old New Jersey native has been with the Yellow Submarine since 2007.
In April, he injured his anterior cruciate ligament in the right knee for the second time in a year and is expected to be sidelined until March.
Villarreal are selling many of their stars following relegation from the Primera Liga, and earlier this week let Borja Valero and Gonzalo Rodriguez go to Fiorentina.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 6
Aston Villa have been put on red-alert after Schalke told Anthony Annan to look for a new club.
The 26-year-old has not featured in any pre-season games for the Bundesliga club and a summer switch looks inevitable.
Annan was loaned to Vitesse Arnhem last season and the Dutch club are also keen to secure his services again.
However, the Ghana international admits there has been some interest in him and is optimistic about his future.
"I have not been called up for any pre-season games - it's embarrassing," he told Skysports.com.
"There has been some contact from clubs but I have two years on my contract with the German club, so we will have to see what happens."
Paul Lambert is apparently a fan of the combative midfielder who would bring his energy and industry to the Villa midfield.

You seem confused. See, we're not actually bothered at all. Hence the comments suggesting just that (though sarcasm may be a bit over your head, I accept).

Agreed, but as usual we are trying to get a deal which is lower than market value.
If it is true i don't expect it to be accepted but something between 12 and 14 could do.
Debuchy is still first choice and rightly so, but if it can't happen i would be happy with Van Der Wiel.
Yes it's true he was poor at the Euros, Yes it's true he's stagnated since breaking into the national team. But what's also true is he as a lot of ability.
And we seem to be the master's of the "damaged goods" transfer and making something out of it.
His situation reminds me a lot of Santon we signed him actually.

They probably got that from The Mirror, if we sign Anita i doubt we will get Toulalan but what does seem clear that we want a technically good DM to sit alongside Tiote and let the rest of the team just do what they want.
