Valencia sign Gago and Canales

According to reports coming out of Spain, Valencia have signed gago for 3.5 million.

Canales have been sold for 8 million with the option to buy back.

Gago had to go, but why sell canales, when he was on loan already. I guess someone who knows more about this could clear this up.

He is so talented, and I know madrid are not going to use this clause, just like with rodrigo and sarabia.

This is so disappointing. Come on Madrid. Lass diarra and kaka are still in the squad but a promising player like Canales is sold

I thought Gago's figure was 4 million, that is quite cheap, but considering he was earning wages of about 4 million euros a year, in total Madrid has saved 8 million.

Wish him the best, unless he's playing against Madrid. It's good to see we've maintained a buy back on Canales but I doubt he'll ever put on a Madrid shirt again. Sad to lose such a talent.

canales will be able to enjoy the stability of a couple years instead of a 1 year loan again.. hes not ready to come back and hes injured so good luck finding any other team that will risk wages on an injured player.

Let Canales go. I mean we already have Ozil in his position no need to keep such a talented and young player on the bench. Hopefully he recovers from that injury and becomes a beast at Valencia.

what do you mean good luck finding another team. Madrid were not lookin to send him to another club.

he was at valencia on a two year loan deal. he would have been there for this season anyway.

that why i said what is the point. stability? a buy back was inserted. so so much for stability.

im not saying that we should have brought him back this season, im saying he should have stayed on loan. plus i'd rather have a young canales back up ozil on decent wages rather than an aging kaka on a high salary

I'm not sure he would of got enough time with Modric coming and Lucas linked etc.

Seems that Valencia is taking hints from Inter's transfer policy. Might be a good thing for overall La Liga competition and quality.

i am just happy we got rid of Gago, it also meant that Mou didn't want him at all costs you can see its different with Kaka and Lass who Mou doesn't mind staying until their contract expires because he values them

Buying our rejects obviously, duh! Solari, Cambiasso, Samuel, Sneijder, Figo, Seedorf, Zamorano for example.

Valencia already have a good record with Mata and Soldado, so why not continue it when they can get potentially good players for peanuts.

Great buy for Valencia.

Happy for both of them too. No point keeping them as bench warmers.

Im happy about gago, but Canales could have been something special. Anyway, we have a buyout clause to Canales so he might turn up to be more fruitful.

Who knows, maybe there is hope for him yet. Not for a while though...
