Should we take a chance on Gago?

Gago is still looking talented, despite being injured all the time. He has a different skillset from what we already have in the squad, and he is a quality passer.

With lass gone, and altintop out, is it a mistake to let him go?

I'm concerned with Khedira being injured last year a few times and Gago's injury history. That's a lot of risk right there.

Besides, i think that Gago, like Lass, wants to play more.

The answer is Sahin.

admitedly, Sahin is a better playmaker and midfield general from what i have seen, but gago has more in common with Bruno than he has with Sahin.

He was pretty good 1 season, but way too injury prone IMO. But I have no problems with him if he is good. We will see.

Initially I wanted him the FO but then I knew his comments were twisted. I always have liked his talent and if Lass goes Gago would be the only answer to Khedira's injuries unless we revert to a 4231 with one less midfielder. I say give him one more chance.

Yes, I think we should, especially with both khedira & sahin have an injured history
And if gago stays healthy, I'm sure he will give khedira & sahin some serious competition

I feel most people here regards him as if he's some of washed up player just because he's been around quite a while & injured most of the time
But gago is still 25, I belive he even hasn't reached his peak yet and still has a lot of potential

Mourinho seems doesn't give a shit about him though, the way he only mentioned higuain & di maria in recent interview..

his tackling is reckless. more of a headless chicken than lass. passing is sloppy. only thing that makes him look good is his little flicks he does which imo completely slow down the play.

he doesnt fit madrid's style of play in the slightest. gago good luck elsewhere.

He might be a headless chicken sometimes but i think he is very good and if not for the injuries he has had, he would not be so criticised. See even after 2 years of not playing he comes in an fits right into the argentina team. Manages to play better than banega and it is no small feat.

ive just been saying this since his arrival at madrid. he had one successful season and since then has yet to prove me wrong.

i will gladly admit defeat, praise gago, make him my avatar etc etc IF he ever proves me wrong.

it hasnt happened for 3 years now, and its not looking like its going to happen. its more likely he is sold. so yes this is just my opinion, but there is a reason we have been constantly buying DMs/CMs and its not because of his injuries.
