Yeah I do. Don't you think Mou has Coentrao in his plans but not Gago for a reason? Gago is good but Coentrao might be better, plus Coentrao is a workhorse and might not be as injury prone.

wow, the way you guys rate players is a bit shocking i have to say. I wont spend time arguing this, im not a fan of finding any reason available to bash a player, which is what you seem to be doing, and you seem serious.

If mourinho has coentrao in his plans, it doesnt make him a better Midfielder than Gago, absolutely not, bit of a simplistic logic. you have to see players in competition to compare them, and you need to see them more than once to have a good understanding of what it is they do.

Coentrao is versatile, that's why mourinho wanted him. But we are yet to find out where he will play exactly. He is being tested at different places right now, and in time of need during the season, he will fit in and cover many gaps for us.

We're rating by the fact that Gago has only had 1 good season, the rest of them he has sucked. So what if he was good 3 games for Argentina? I wanna see a full season to judge. I'm still judging blind becouse I haven't seen much by Coentrao, but he showed some true skill in the L.A Galaxy game. Alot of stamina.

Gago was very good in 07 and 08. the rest he was injured, and when he came back under pelle, he formed and excellnt duo in the double pivot with Alonso and did pretty well. He didnt play as much this season. he didnt suck, he was injured. I have seen Gago beasting Barcelona from the midfield, nothing to do with Argentina.

We are taking this preaseason games way too seriously, the opposition isnt up to par. But it's good to see coentrao able to adapt in different role, ultimately he will do well, but let's not act as if he is a boss already.

As a footballer, Ceontrao is better in my book. Can excel at a lot of things. As a midfielder, Gago has to be better at this point... it's been his position for many years and he plays for the Argentina NT DESPITE being injured (pretty amazing to me).

As far as a fit for the Madrid midfield, with Lass gone, Coentrao is more essential. He brings a dimensions that nobody else can bring on the team

It's like saying Ozil is better than Kaka... in all honesty, when Kaka is healthy, Ozil is not as good as Kaka obviously. But in the grand scheme of things and the future of Madrid, Ozil fits better.

Exactly. In my opinion I regard Coentrao as better than Gago not only because of the versatility factor but because he is a genuine athlete. His athleticism shouldn't go unnoticed and will be a huge asset in the second half of the season.

It's funny becouse as I recall it before Gagos Argentina performances he was complete shit and a waste of a spot in the squad. Now people notice that he has some genuine skill?

The guy is not Madrid quality and won't be.

gago has enough quality to play in madrid. We sayed he stagnated in his development, and his injury proneness was very annoying, but we cant say he is leaving because he is terrible. He has his flaws like Lass had his, but he still has a lot of quality. Being a natural 5 and great passer is one of them.

all he did with argentina is remind us he still has quality.

well gago proved He is capable of pulling more than a decent performance and deserves to be a rotation player for madrid.

lol, like i said, he didnt prove anything with that game, he just reminded us he had quality. we cant look at gago as a young player with things to prove, he did quite well in la liga and with us already, let's not discount that, eventho it was before his injury crisis.

The way i look at this, a good passer is never a player to discount lightly.

Lol. True. But his technique is frankly very good. Being made out of glass is not a good thing though... He's not worth the money if he can't be counted on. I'd rather have players that i know will be available physically. You can be the most talented player in the world and be useless if always injured.

It's always nice to see Real Madrid fans still having faith in their more fringe players. Too bad I don't share such sentiments and counting the days till he leaves and does whatever...

I have been on and off about Gago, if he wasnt such a quality passer, i would have forgotten about him long ago.

Great passer he is. That's about it really...
