Capello trolling Rooney
Capello: 'Rooney lost in translation!'
Former England manager Fabio Capello launched a scathing attack on Wayne Rooney’s England career. “I think he only understands Scottish.”
The Manchester United striker has always struggled to make an impact for his country in the knockout rounds of major tournaments.
Rooney had sniped at Capello last week, suggesting players were happier with Roy Hodgson as nothing was “lost in translation,” but the former manager hit back.
“After seeing the latest game, I think Rooney only understands Scottish. That’s because he only plays well in Manchester, where Sir Alex Ferguson speaks Scottish.”
Capello gave his views on Italy’s Euro 2012 chances and also spoke about the latest betting scandal to have rocked Italian football.
“It is another chapter in the history of betting in Italy and sends out a very ugly image of Italian sport. I would be extremely tough, as it is unacceptable that players could consider ‘selling’ games or betting on matches, so I hope the justice system is very severe.”

Re: Capello trolling Rooney
Fabio Capello is a better manager than Roy Hodgson. Capello always emphasized trying to win the ball back quickly by pressing high up the pitch - not so with Roy Hodgson - happy to let Rooney and Welback stand still while Pirlo trashed our team, presumably to save their legs for the "counter-attack" - except there was no counter-attack, since he instructed Gerrard, Ashley Young and Milner to double-cover what is supposed to be a good back 4. In other words, Capello gets to make funny jokes about Rooney "only understanding Scottish" and generally telling us how shit we are without him. I chuckled at his joke - not because it made any sense, but because it reminded me of when we actually had a top class manager. I do think it was a bit harsh on Rooney who had no options when he had the ball, since there was no actual counter attack, since Hodgson instructed Gerrard, Milner and Young to stay put. I only hope England replaces Hodgson with an attacking manager who also understands defence, like Harry Redknapp, Pep Guardiola or even Gary Neville. Someone who respects the fact that our defenders, whether it's Terry, Lescott, Micah Richards, Ashley Cole, etc. are good enough at defending not to need double cover all the time.

There are Scottish languages, however the majority of Scotland speak English I think.
